A Shop For My Communities

I've been drawing since as far back as I can remember, but it always remained a hobby until 2015. My health had declined to the point where I had to drop out of my master's. Housebound, struggling with depression, and with nothing to occupy my time, I finally decided to make art the focus of my life.

At first it was hard going. When I first set up my Etsy store, I had no idea what I was doing! I tried selling a few prints and paintings, and got nowhere.

It took a couple of years before I finally figured out what I was doing. I realised I wanted to make products for the marginalised communities I belong to: the LGBTQ and disabled communities. Once I hit on that, the rest seemed to fall into place!

Now I love seeing people from my communities wearing my products and being proud about who they are. Taking pride in the things society so often treads on us for is such a good way to fight back.

    I source a lot of things I can't make in-house through Awesome Merch! Every product I order through them is made using my own design and artwork. Currently, I order badges, comics, and backing cards through them.

  • Enamel Pin Factory

    China

    There are no enamel pin factories in the UK, so all my pins are produced in China. I send my original design or artwork to the representative, explaining the kind of plating and sizing I'd like, and the pins are produced in bulk and sent to me a month later.

  • Moo

    United Kingdom

    I print my greeting cards through Moo as my at-home printer can't manage the high quality print needed for a good greeting card. I upload my artwork, they then ship the greeting cards to me with envelopes, ready to be sold.

  • Sticker App

    United Kingdom

    I produce all my stickers through Sticker App. I upload my original designs or artwork and use their online tool to choose a sticker material and border thickness. The stickers are then shipped to me in large quantities, ready to be sold!

Frequently asked questions
Can I commission an unique piece from you?

Absolutely! Please contact me to discuss pricing.

Please note only there is a minimum quantity for most items, except for the ones I produce from home, which are:
- 38mm button badges
- Digital illustrations
- Art prints
- Shrink badges (like the cat badges)

Otherwise, min. quantities are:
- Enamel pins = 100
- Other badges = 10
- Stickers = 30
- Anything else = ask

However, as the shop grows I may be able to invest in producing more items from home. The more interest I receive, the more likely it'll happen, so if you were interested in receiving a custom commission of the above but found out that you couldn't, let me know anyway!

How do I take care of my print?

If you want to make sure to take care of your print as best as possible, keep the following tips in mind:

* Avoid placing your print in direct sunlight or near sources of bright light
* Avoid hanging your print outdoors
* Frame your print, under glass if possible, to avoid atmospheric contaminants
* Avoid framing your print when humidity is high as condensation can get trapped behind the glass; store your print in a plastic sleeve until the humidity has dropped
* Try to avoid touching the printed side too much as you can leave smudges

If you follow these guidelines your print should be happy and healthy for a long time to come!

My order hasn't yet arrived. May I get a replacement or refund?

If it has been more than 7 working days since your estimated delivery time then you may contact me to discuss a replacement or refund (whichever you prefer).

This does NOT apply if the name or address provided when you ordered from me was not correct at the time of ordering. I am not responsible for an incorrect name or address so please make sure your details are correct before ordering!

It also does not apply if you paid with PayPal, and the address you requested shipping to does not match the address on your PayPal account. Please ensure these addresses match up as mismatched addresses can be a common fraud tactic.

If you are worried about your order getting lost I strongly recommend purchasing a tracked shipping upgrade!

My order has arrived damaged. What are my options?

If your order has arrived damaged please take photographs and send them to me immediately. Make sure to take photographs of both the product and the packaging, especially if the packaging is ripped or damaged.

We can then discuss a replacement and/or refund, or whether I would like you to send the product back to me (depending on the nature of the damage).

Gift wrapping and packaging

I don't currently offer gift wrapping as an option (although I am looking into ways to make this happen). Purchasing an item as a gift will result in the following changes:

* If you have requested a packing slip, the price of the item will not be listed on the packing slip.

* The 10% off coupon will not be included in the package. Please specify if you want this included anyway.

* If you write a gift message, this will be printed out and included with the package along with the product title and shop name, but not the price. Don't forget to include your name in the message!

Please note for international orders the item and price MUST be listed on the customs form on the outside of the package for legal reasons.

Wholesale availability

I am available for wholesale and bulk orders, normally at 50% RRP for orders of 200 or more. Please contact me to discuss.

Where is the tracking info for my order?

As stated in the description of every listing, there is no tracking by default on orders. If you desire tracking, please purchase one of the available shipping upgrades.

For some reason, Etsy provides a bogus tracking number for your order even if there is no tracking available. This will return an error when clicked.

If you have purchased a shipping upgrade, the tracking number should be included with your order information once your purchase has been shipped. If you're having trouble finding it, please contact me.
