COLOUR
All my yarn is dyed to try and prevent striping or pooling as much as possible. This creates a random/softer variegated effect that looks good in plain stockinette but also works with more complicated and textural stitch motifs.
Dye lots are not available as dyes are applied by hand in small quantities - therefore no two hanks are exactly the same. As such, it is always advisable to alternate skeins to create even colour in larger projects.
Some colours, particularly the reds, are more prone to bleeding, and though I endeavour to wash all skeins thoroughly after dyeing, I do recommend pre-washing bright colours if you are doing colourwork - just to be sure!
PHOTOGRAPHY
Although I take great care in photographing my yarns, all colours on the internet WILL ALWAYS vary from monitor to monitor due to the nature of different hardware settings.
If you have any doubts about the colours you are seeing, please email me and I will try and describe the actual, real-life hue!

Delivery
Domestic items are shipped 1st class mail.
International orders take 7 -14 days to arrive. However, it can sometimes take 4-6 weeks for parcels to reach destinations outside the UK.
Please remember that shipping around any holiday can be very unpredictable and shipping upgrades are recommended to ensure faster delivery times if you are in a rush and if your parcel is over £50!
*I will ship to your Paypal address, so please make sure that this is up to date when purchasing.
**I will happily ship straight to a giftee and will include a personal note if you request one. Please message me with the request.

IMPORTANT NOTES: International buyers are responsible for any and all Customs Charges, Taxes & Additional Postal Fees .
I am unable to replace items that are lost in the post, though will do my best to trace parcels that have not reached their destination. If you would like to insure your parcel for the full cost at an additional cost, please let me know when you make your purchase.
Please wait at least 4 weeks before contacting the shop to report a parcel undelivered as this is the amount of time Royal Mail requires before any claim can be put in. Please note that if you have not paid for additional shipping the maximum insurance is £20. :-?

DYES, ALLERGIES, ETC.
As I personally have severe fragrance allergies, all products used on yarns are hypo-allergenic. All yarns are produced in a critter and smoke free home, so those with allergies to cats/dogs/etc. need not worry!
I do not currently use natural dyes for colouring the yarns as the natural dye process actually uses many toxic chemicals to set the dye. Instead, I use mild acid dyes, the 'acid' being vinegar. These dyes are so mild I can use them in my home kitchen.
