Hi Everyone, I’m Kim from Bailey Whin. I started Bailey Whin in 2013 while studying Neuroscience as a creative escape from my day to day science work. I now run my business alongside my day job from my home near Bath (although I’m a Northern girl really!). I think my products can best be described as Fabric Bothering - I make accessories like phone and tablet cases, as well as cushions and quilts, and hand embroidery hoop art. In my crafting I like to use fabrics that other people no longer want or remnants and end of the line fabrics. This means that alot of my items are completely one of a kind, and very eco-friendly with as little waste produced as possible.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

Returns and exchange details
Returning items for refund or exchange:

Please let me know within 14 days of receiving the goods that you would like to return them. All return postage and associated costs are payable by the customer, cost is dependant on the postal rates in your country. Refunds of the full amount will be paid on receipt of the returned goods providing they have not been damaged or altered in any way and are in a saleable condition.

If you are returning items from outside the UK then please make sure items are clearly marked as goods being returned. Any customs charges applied to items being returned if they are not clearly marked will be taken from the refund amount due.

Highly personalised custom work such as embroidery with specific names and/or dates on cannot be returned.

Lost items:
Please ensure your address is correct at the time of ordering, once an order has shipped I cannot change the destination and I will only provide a refund once the item is returned to me.

UK - Items sent in the UK are not considered lost by Royal Mail until 15 working days have passed. After this point I will provide a refund for the cost of the item.

International - Delivery can take over 6 weeks to some destinations. Please bare this in mind if you are ordering a time sensitive item. If an item is deemed lost then I will provide a refund for the cost of the item.
Delivery
All prices include UK First Class shipping, delivery time for this service is usually 1-3 business days however it can take a little longer at peak times. Items over £20 in value will be sent using Royal Mail Signed For.

If you are outside the UK, your order will be dispatched by Royal Mail International Standard, delivery time can be up to 6 weeks for some countries. Please be aware this service does not include tracking. If you have chosen to add tracking I will provide your tracking number as soon as possible. Items over £20 in value will be sent using a tracked service automatically and a signature will be required on delivery. You are responsible for any customs/import fees and taxes applied to your purchase. The price I charge you for shipping is exactly what I have to pay at the post office.

If you wish to purchase faster shipping then please contact me BEFORE making your purchase to discuss your time frame and associated costs.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders: If you would like a custom order, for example a custom embroidery hoop or cushions made up in a particular fabric please get in touch! Full payment is required on custom orders before work can begin. Highly personalised work, such as embroidery with specific names or dates cannot be returned.

Wholesale: A number of my items, including hand embroidery and tablet cases are available for wholesale to shops and boutiques. Wholesale prices are 50% of my retail prices. Please get in touch for more details.
Privacy
I, Kim Burnett, am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my shop.

When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address and email address from Etsy. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have related to that order.

The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
• With Etsy to comply with my obligations.
• With delivery companies to fulfil your order.
• To comply with legal or tax obligations.

I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time I will delete your data from my records.

You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.
