About

Everybody wants to be a cat.

I started my business just before Christmas 2012 by selling earrings made from bottle tops on eBay but then I realised that I should incorporate the things that I really love into my crafting process. It just so happens that the things I love are sewing,cats and general catting-about so Kitten Treasures was born with the ethos that all cat-girls or cat-boys should be able to express their catttiude and kittizenship with collars, ears, tails and paws that they can feel proud of. I hope to always have a good range of Cosplay items in stock that appeal to even the most discerning cats, wolves, foxes and maids!

Making things that I hope people will love to wear and things that I think encourage fantasy and imagination is truly my passion and I hope that my shop will continue to grow as it has over the last few months. Thank you to anyone and everyone who has bought anything from me - I am truly grateful for your support.

Returns and exchanges
**Returns**

I accept returns on items, excluding pierced jewellery, custom items and made-to-order items, within 14 days of receiving, so long as they are unworn and in the same condition as you received them.

Custom items, items that have been altered (e.g. items made to a specific size, colour, etc.) and made-to-order items cannot be returned unless there is a problem with the item.

Original shipping costs will not be refunded and buyer pays the postage to return the item. If an item is lost in the post or arrives damaged then please message me to let me know and I will try to solve the problem. Please tell me if you are planning to return any items before putting them in the post, and if you do happen to have any problems with an item please message me.

Any items which are returned to us because they could not be delivered for any reason can be resent for a fee that covers paying the postage again. Original postage is non refundable in these situations. Please check your address carefully when you make your order as we cannot be responsible for items lost in the post due to incomplete or wrong addresses.

**Engraved Charms**

Please check your engraving requests carefully before submitting them to avoid any mistakes or disappointment. Orders for engraved items cannot be cancelled once they have started to be processed. Engraved items cannot be returned unless there is a problem with the item.

Each charm is engraved to order. If we cannot have your charm engraved in the way that you have instructed or a charm becomes unavailable for any reason, we will message you to let you know what is going on as soon as we can and will refund your order if it cannot be completed.
Payment
**Payments**

I accept payment via PayPal or you can pay by credit card or Etsy gift card through the Etsy direct checkout. If there is going to be a delay in your payment please message me and let me know what's going on so that I am aware of the situation.

**Import Taxes**

Any imports charges or such like are the responsibility of the buyer as I cannot be aware of all tax thresholds for the destinations I send to, but usually this will not be an issue unless you are buying multiple items. If you are buying multiple items that are ready to send at the same time they will usually be sent in the same package but if they are going to be arriving in separate packages there will be a note of this on your dispatch notification when your order is shipped.
Shipping
All items are sent out in plain, discrete packaging.

Customs labels do not describe exactly what is in the parcel so there's no need to worry about any embarrassment or spoiling a surprise if you've bought something as a gift.

*UK Postage**

Items are sent 1st Class within the UK which usually takes 1-2 working days to arrive.

If you need a faster UK shipping method, please contact me - items can be sent out using special next day delivery service for an additional fee on request. (Please note that next day delivery service applies to the postage method and is not a 24-hour turnaround on your order - processing times for making made-to-order items will still apply.)

**International Postage**

Items are sent internationally by Standard Airmail, which usually takes 1-2 weeks to arrive, depending on how busy your local postal service is. There is no tracking or insurance on economy shipping.

You can upgrade to express shipping at checkout instead if you need your item quicker or would like a tracking number - this usually takes 1 week to arrive.

Depending on where you live, you item will be sent either by a Tracked or Tracked & Signed service. If no express service is available to your address, we will contact you to let you know and refund any express shipping payment.


**Processing Times**

Please take into account processing times when purchasing. I will always try to get items ready as quickly as possible but if you need an item made in time for a particular deadline please contact me. Halloween is our busiest time of year, so please bear in mind that orders may take their full processing time in the run-up to October 31st.
Additional policies and FAQs
**Messages**

If you want to contact us about an order that you have already placed, please use the Etsy messaging system rather than emailing the paypal address on your receipt as we do not regularly check this for messages so we may not see it. This is particularly important if it's something time sensitive like wanting to change an address or such like so please bear this in mind when messaging.

We will always try to respond in a timely manner to your Etsy messages and will get back to you as soon as we can. If you don't get a response straight away please understand that due to time differences, weekends or just being super busy with making treasures we may not have seen your message yet but we will get back to you! :)

**Custom Orders**

I'm very happy to undertake custom orders - please feel free to message me for an informal chat about your requirements and I will see what I can do. If you see an item in my shop that you like but that you would like altered in some way please let me know and I will usually be able to help - for example, if you see an item that you like but would prefer it in a different colour, or prefer a charm or bell from a different item - just let me know and I can make it to your specifications. I can also order in new materials to make items for you but there will be a charge for this depending on the price of the new materials which will be discussed with you before purchase.

**Order Notes**

If you leave a note with your order requesting we make an item a little differently for you, we will generally only contact you about it if we are unable to make it as you have asked. Don't worry if you leave a note and then don't hear from us - it just means that we've read it and will do as you have asked :)

For requests that are substantially different from the original item, e.g. require new materials or patterns, please message us to discuss your requirements before ordering as we will not be able to make it for you just from leaving an order note.

If you need an item made and sent out quicker than the estimated dispatch date and leave a note to tell us this, we will try our best to send it out as quickly as possible but it may not always be possible to meet your request. It's usually better to send a message before purchasing if you need an item particularly quickly so we can tell you whether it will be possible.

**Multiple Items**

If you would like to buy more than one of any item on the same listing then please message me and I will update the quantity for you so that you can purchase multiple quantities or buy different variations of the same listing.

**Dispatch Times**

If you need your item for a particular deadline then please message me and I will see if I can make it in time - sometimes it may not be possible but other times I may be able to complete your item quicker than the expected dispatch on a listing if I know you need it for a particular date.

None of my collars are appropriate for wear by animals - they are all intended for human cosplay and cannot be considered safe for pets so please do not purchase for your pets as they do not have the necessary safety mechanisms in place to protect them.
