5 out of 5 starsThis little guy is adorable and I love the fact part of proceeds goes to animal charities! This artist is very easy to work with - Will keep an eye on more works from her ;)

Dog Portrait Painting. Acrylic on Canvas. As well as being a digital artist, I do love the more traditional method too!
Krysten Newby - A Creative's Story
About Krysten, UK Freelance Creative
Hello there, thanks for stopping by!
My name is Krysten Newby - a UK Freelance Illustrator, Fine Artist and Ethical Taxidermist residing in the rural market town of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Living in the countryside, wildlife has definitely had a huge impact on my work! I have wanted to work with animals from a very young age, and apart from painting animals, I do with my ethical taxidermy work!
I'm a self confessed O.C.D sufferer (Obsessive Creative Disorder), I want to learn new creative techniques ALL of the time and I'm constantly exploring. In 2014, I graduated from University Campus Suffolk with a first class degree in Graphic Communication. Illustration is my strong point, however I also love to delve in all areas of graphic design, branding and typography.
I try do divide my time between painting and my ethical taxidermy work, but sometimes I do more of one thing than the other. I run a taxidermy brand by the name of Taxidermy Co. UK (www.taxidermyco.uk). Living in the countryside, roadkill is never of short supply unfortunately - Recycling is the way forward! I never work with animals that have been killed for the purpose of taxidermy, or for 'fun/sport'.
I have an unfathomable admiration for wildlife and It's so amazing to get to see beautiful creatures up close in fine detail, albeit in sad circumstances. However, I love the taxidermy process and I get great satisfaction out of restoring the beauty of specimens that have passed. I also donate a percentage of profits from my taxidermy work to my local nature reserve.
Living with multiple chronic illnesses (Rheumatoid Arthritis & Fibromyalgia to name a couple) makes my day to day life very difficult. Working from home doing what I love at my own pace is as an absolute blessing, as I'm unable to leave the house most days. Every single purchase from my Etsy store really does support me directly, and I cannot be more grateful!
If you have any questions or queries at all, please do get in touch, I'd love to hear from you.
