5 out of 5 starsOur second Last Leaf workshop stool is as much fine art as seating. It shares the same stylish design DNA with earlier purchases, but is unique. The stools have multiple uses; our two are now very attractive and practical bedside tables. Sam’s passion and skill shine through his work, and craftsmanship and customer service are second to none.

5 out of 5 starsExcellent craftsmanship! The oak is stunning, a beautiful piece of wood. We are using the stool as a side table and will be back to purchase a second. Communication with Sam was easy, we asked lots of questions and he couldn't have been more helpful. Definitely recommend Sam's furniture

5 out of 5 starsA sublimely beautiful bench, expertly crafted, that will no doubt last a lifetime.
It is rare to have an opportunity to own something that is genuinely unique, but all of the Last Leaf’s products are exactly that.
Customer service remains a strength and Sam’s dedication to delivering the highest quality products and service is commendable. -

5 out of 5 starsExcellent customer service and an outstanding product. The oak stool is comfortable, light to move around and a joy to behold. The personal touch from Sam, acknowledging the order and then order dispatch was much appreciated. I wholeheartedly recommend both the product and the seller.

Designer and maker of heirloom hardwood furniture.
Sam studied luthirie (guitar making) at the Sir John Cass Department of Art and Design at the London Metropolitan University (previously the London College of Furniture) where he gained a detailed knowledge of wood, the use of hand tools and the skills required to design and build acoustic guitars.
This training then allowed Sam to begin work as a cabinet maker in long established businesses building bespoke furniture, working on projects such as St Paul's Cathedral, Ripon Cathedral, Christchurch college Oxford and St Martin in the Fields at Trafalgar square.
After over fifteen years experience in fine woodworking, Sam created Last Leaf to combine his passions for wood, design and craftsmanship. Based just outside the historic city of York in the North Yorkshire countryside, the Last Leaf workshop was purpose built for furniture making, and every single piece that leaves the workshop is designed, handmade and finished by Sam himself. The timber selection and sourcing is also done entirely by Sam. It is a hugely important part of the furniture making process, and all the timber used for Last Leaf Furniture is sourced legally and responsibly.
The aim is simple. To design and make beautiful heirloom furniture, built to last, using time honoured cabinet making techniques, priced fairly and always, always with the maximum attention to detail.
Thank you and please feel free to get in touch to discuss any ideas you may have.
