Designer Isobel Robinson takes inspiration from vintage fashion eras to create contemporary pieces with a timeless elegance. Returns and exchange details
MILLINERY RETURNS
The majority of my headpieces are handmade to order, allowing you to choose the most suitable style for your personality and where possible, matching the fastening to your hair. Once complete, each headpiece is inspected and wrapped thoroughly to ensure they reach you in top condition. Should you find that your headpiece is not suitable, I am happy to accept returns of unworn items with the tags intact within 14 days of receipt (overseas customers please contact me within 7 days), providing they meet the 'conditions of return' below. Bespoke (custom) orders and headpieces made-to-order which vary from the listed item (i.e. different colour) cannot be returned unless faulty.

I am more than happy to help with colours or discuss custom options prior to ordering. If you are matching to an outfit, please request a free colour swatch to ensure it is suitable, as colours online may vary between monitors.

DAMAGED/FAULTY HATS
In the unlikely event of your headpiece arriving damaged or faulty, please notify me within 48hrs of delivery/collection and return within 7 days (or as agreed for overseas customers). In this instance, return postage costs will be reimbursed by Lillibets Millinery.

CONDITIONS OF RETURN
Where eligible (see above), a refund or exchange will be given providing the item and hat box are returned unworn and in their original condition, with tags intact and the same place. Please take care to package the item well, as Lillibets Millinery are entitled to make a deduction from the refund amount should any damage be incurred due to poor packaging. I highly recommend sending your return by registered post, as we cannot take responsibility for returned items lost in transit. Buyer is responsible for all return postage costs.

Customer satisfaction is of the greatest importance to me, and I take great pride in knowing my clients look and feel amazing in their new headpieces. Should you find you are not fully happy with your headpiece, please do get in touch to reach a solution.

JEWELLERY RETURNS
I am happy to accept returns of unworn jewellery (see exclusions below) within 14 days of receipt (international customers please contact me within 3 days to notify of return, & mark the box as RETURNED ITEM). Items must be returned unworn & in its original packaging.

JEWELLERY RETURN EXCLUSIONS:
Bespoke designs and rings that have been made to the size to the customers specifications are non-returnable unless faulty. Customer satisfaction is of the upmost importance to me, so should you find you have ordered the wrong ring size, I am happy to exchange for a different size once. A fee of £4.00 to cover postal costs will be incurred so please measure before ordering.

RETURNS POSTAGE
Postage is non-refundable. All return postage costs are to be covered by buyer unless returning due to the item being faulty.

LOST ITEMS:
Should any items get lost in transit, please do get in touch so that I can either arrange to send another item or provide a full refund. Please allow at least 10 working days after dispatch in the UK (for standard mail) and three weeks for the rest of the world before reporting as lost - this is as advised by Royal Mail as items may take longer than estimated at peak times.
Payment
Payment can be made via credit/debit card, paypal or using an Etsy gift card.
Delivery
As each piece is made to order and varies in the time it takes to make, please read the item description for the latest dispatch estimate. If you are in a hurry, I am happy to 'rush' through orders where possible, but please contact me first. Please note that delivery times given are an estimate and not guaranteed unless upgraded to express guaranteed services. I cannot be held responsible for any delays once the item has been dispatched.

UK ORDERS:
All hats are sent by special delivery unless stated otherwise (1 working day).
Jewellery is posted by 1st class delivery and usually takes 1-2 working days from dispatch but may take longer (up to a week) towards Christmas. Upgrades are available at checkout (recommended).

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
Hats are sent by Royal Mail Tracked services unless stated otherwise, & usually take around 1-3 weeks from dispatch.
Jewellery is posted by Royal Mail airmail which is NOT TRACKABLE & usually takes 1-3 weeks to arrive - please allow extra time in November and December. Upgrades to tracked services are available at checkout (recommended).
Please note that any customs charges are the responsibility of the buyer.
Privacy
I Isobel Robinson am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my shop, Lillibets Millinery.

When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address and email address from Etsy. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have related to that order. If you send me a message using the contact button on Etsy, I will receive your username and email address.

The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
• With Etsy to comply with my obligations.
• With delivery companies to fulfil your order.
• To comply with legal or tax obligations.

I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time I will delete your data from my records.

You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.

Custom and personalised orders

I love designing hats and jewellery, but we all have our own style and there's nothing more confidence inspiring than when your outfit really shows off your personality. If you'd like something special designing, please contact me to discuss your requirements.

Having accessories uniquely designed for you is something special, and I hope to achieve the perfect match for your style and personality. As such, custom orders are non-returnable unless faulty.

I want it to match my outfit - how can I tell?

Just like humans, every computer is different. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the photos give accurate portrayals of the hats, monitors do vary in the brightness and contrast settings so colours may appear slightly different from computer to computer. If you are looking to match your outfit, please ask for a free colour swatch as I am happy to send one out.

How long will it take to arrive?

All my items are handmade to order, so please see item descriptions for an estimated dispatch time. If you are in a hurry, I am happy to 'rush' through orders where possible, but please contact me first.

Are your items Hallmarked with the Assay Office?

I comply with all UK regulations with respect to hallmarking. Current law states silver jewellery items below 7.78g in weight are exempt from requiring hallmarking. In order to keep prices down for you, the customer, I therefore do not hallmark items below this threshold.

Care instructions

A hat box is provided with all millinery orders for ease of storage and transportation to your event. Store your headpieces out of sunlight in a sealed box to avoid fading over time, using acid free tissue paper to support delicate trims.

Avoid getting your headpiece wet and protect from rain. The most common method of shaping fabric in millinery is by wetting and steaming the fabric. The damp fabric is shaped by hand or on a wooden block before leaving to dry. If your hat becomes wet during wear, it may distort the shape.

Similarly, heat is used to shape some of the trimmings on my headpieces. Please avoid high temperatures which may reverse the process.

By taking care of your millinery, you can enjoy wearing it for years to come.

Millinery Sizes

Unless stated otherwise, all my headpieces are designed as 'one size fits all', and don't require a head measurement.

Attaching your hat

Headpieces are attached using either a headband or hat elastic, both of which include a comb.

Hat elastics should be positioned around the back of your head, sitting at the base of your hairline. You can use bobby pins to secure at either side of the hat for extra grip, pinning some hair from the front of your head over the top if necessary to hide the attachment.

To ensure a secure hold, particularly for fine or shorter hair, I recommend using some hair spray before positioning the hat, and adding some bobby pins in a 'X' shape where the comb will sit. Once the hat is in position, your can then thread the comb into the bobby pins to give a firm hold.
