My business is very active on Facebook, where i constantly show items i am making, hold market night events and also give you a sneak peak into my life. I also sell at craft fairs which is a great opportunity for me to have face to face contact with customers.

About

Its all i ever wanted to do!!

When i was little girl i always used to draw clothing. Its all i have ever wanted to do. I left school did a Btec in fashion, a GNVQ adv in Business and i used to make my own clothes and especially my friday night going out dress. I went to university in Huddersfield to do a BA(Hons) Degree in fashion. When i left university i thought i could concur the world!! I was lucky and got a position as a Garment technologist at a major retailer, i worked on constantly improving products and ensuring that garment were made correctly and in the best way possible.

After 6yrs i needed a new challenge so moved over tom buying dept, which i loved, each day was different and it was so varied. I worked on design development, trends, creating ranges and design, seeing the garment through the full process from concept idea through to the sale of the item. We worked very closely with suppliers and factories and i was luck enough to travel to some amazing places, including Hong Kong, Shanghai, India as well as more deprived countries. It really made me see the world in a different way and really appreciate what i have.

I worked on buying for a number of years but got to a point after 2 children that i didn't want to be away from my family for weeks on end for buying trips, the office was re-locaring further away and my little boy was starting school, i felt completely torn. A major loss in my family really made me re-evaluate, i wanted to be there for my children. I made my Daughters 2nd birthday dress and loved it and i thought this is for me, so i reluctantly resigned and set up Lily and Lola, it was absolutely the best thing i ever did. I am there for my family when they need me, i can completely care for my children, but i never take what i have for granted and believe i am very lucky to be able to follow my dream x x
