My original works of art are created with a passion of nature and a desire to make memories, feelings from our beautiful Forest of Dean last forever.
Hello, my name is Lisa. I have a BA Hons degree in Visual Arts and love to paint.
My inspiration comes from the plants with their scent, a change in the weather or the seasons. All these observations use my passion for colour and shape and have always been at the heart of my work.
My paintings work less with realism in nature and more with the creation of sculptural forms that are made between the outlines. Flowers and organic forms feature heavily in all aspects of my work abstracting and depicting movement from a small snap shot of time. I work to enhance the shapes and patterns through my use of texture and layering of paint. This difference in depth also helps to define the highlights and shadows of my chosen subject matter bringing the painting to life. I work with thick textural oil paint and to create different mark making on the canvas, I am known to use found objects as well as more traditional brushes and palette knives. This is called Sgraffito.
This, I think, produces exciting pieces, with ever changing patterns but always with bright bold coloured paintings.
Recently, I have been combining painting and print in my artworks. This work has broadened my style and allowed me to experiment with new subjects and techniques which I would otherwise not have considered. I feel that these new challenges continually add to the development of my paintings. These are available in my Etsy shop as Greetings Cards and Ceramic Coasters.
I offer a commission service, which enables you to choose what you like, in what colour and style to suit you and your environment best. Frames and Mount-boards can be supplied with your choice of painting and will be discussed on an individual basis.

I am pleased to say all our items have free UK delivery. This is because all items will vary in weight and protection needs and options, so we have decided to group all postage into the item prices. For other destinations, please message us and we will try to help you with an acceptable option.
Whether it’s a Greetings Card or an Original Painting, all will be wrapped and packaged with absolute care and attention to detail, all to make you purchase that little bit more special.
