You might find me beachcombing on the North East England coast looking for inspiration for my quirky Driftwood Folk
Liz ditched the rat race to escape the life of meetings at the end of motorways. Now she thinks that all roads should lead to the beach where there's treasure to be found. She collects driftwood along the North East coast of England, it's then brought home, cleaned, processed and filed away in her workroom. Making quirky driftwood folk brings her much pleasure and she's never happier than when finding the perfect combination of driftwood body, arms and legs to then create one of her adorable folk. She'll then sit down to lovingly knit them a jumper and hat in British Wool and 'made to measure' jeans or tweed trousers in preloved fabrics.
People often ask where the idea came from, the truth is she's no idea! It just evolved as part of an avoidance tactic for what some people would call "getting a proper job".
