Announcement    COVID 19 - Please allow a little extra time for your art work to arrive. I am limiting post office trips to once a week, to reduce the risk of infection. If you need your item in a hurry, message me and I will do my very best to help

I am based in the beautiful Meon Valley in Hampshire. Living in the glorious South Downs National Park provides an abundance of inspiration - the breathtaking countryside and the huge array of living things that inhabit it.

I work in many different mediums, to keep myself fresh and excited about my new projects. Like many creative people my mind stagnates if I repeat the same processes over and over again. I have always been an obsessive creator, always having several pieces of work on the go at once.

A childhood interest in drawing has matured into a love of working with a fountain pen, using Japanese ink. This provides a wonderful medium to explore the tone and depth of a subject. In my ink drawings I hope to capture the texture of each subject using only ink. The white paper allows for the contrast to really show. Painstakingly drawn in very high detail each piece of ink work takes tens of hours to complete. Very occasionally I sell original ink drawings.

I hope that my shop reflects the variety in my work, but that it also depicts my love of nature, beauty and creativity.

About LottiesCottage

Sales 346
On Etsy since 2012

Doing what I love and sharing my passion for all things hand made with care and attention to detail.

I am an artist based in the Meon Valley in rural Hampshire.

I am a self taught artist with three children. I have always been creative and while everyone else was snuggling up with a book in my childhood home I was drawing, sewing, painting.. immersing myself in any kind of creative activity!

I have a passion for painting but seek inspiration from beauty I find around me. My garden birds use both my sewing and painting skills and create a very unique effect, which remains incredibly 'real' when capturing the likeness of a bird.

I have created Lottie's Cottage to showcase all my skills, so the things I create and sell in my shop are always fresh and interesting.

Lottie's Cottage is filled with a range of beautiful things. Everything is handmade. Everything is unique. I hope that here you can find all kinds of things to make your home a special, individual place to be.

I am a self taught artist with a passion for strong design. I discovered Japanese carbon ink a few years ago, and armed with my very fine Japanese fountain pen, I have not looked back.
