My love of Pottery

I knew this was my chance to get my hands back in the clay and update my pottery skills again when I was took voluntary redundancy from a career in management in 2015.

With children at Uni, and a space in the garden perfect for a pottery, I dreamt of bringing to life the smiley pottery cats, birds and other characters that had until then just been ideas on in my head.

When I started out in ceramics in the 1990's the internet was just an idea, but with the help of my grown up children I was sure that the little creatures that came about could be winging their way successfully round the world to bring cheer to others.

The new pottery is bright and spacious, so the perfect commute down the the garden path and the big pine table which is the hub of activity great for gathering with others who want to learn the craft or chatting to friends and neighbours as I make.

In many ways the pottery is a joint enterprise, my wonderful Mum helps me when I'm out and about at events and fairs and helps with new potters who visit for pottery experience days.
