Announcement   Maebelle & Bo specialises in bright, practical and comfortable clothing for babies, toddlers and young children, because being a kid should be fun and messy. I particularly love baby leggings and romper dungarees because my kids live in them. I try to find fabrics which are creative and attractive to both parents and children alike, and also a bit different from what can be found on the high street. I particularly love organic fabrics and try to use them unless I find a non organic fabric that just begs me to buy it!

All of my clothing is handmade to order by me, or made in a fabulous organic and fair trade establishment in India where my own fabric designs are printed onto organic cotton and then skilfully made into my clothing designs. It is so exciting branching out into fabric design and would I LOVE your ideas for new designs! It is important to me that my items are ethically sourced and produced to ensure a happier and healthier world for our kids, and to guarantee quality in my designs. In my own designs, I therefore only use establishments with the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certificate which covers both ecological and social criteria, ensuring green products and processes, and fair working conditions.

All of my fabric is washed and pre-shrunk to help keep the garment's shape. I construct all my items with an overlocker/serger machine and finish with a cover stitch for a professional finish. Most of my items are made from scratch as orders are received and are sent out within 1-2 weeks, but if you can't wait either convo me and I will see what I can do, or check out my "ready to ship" items.

My sizes are quite generous to grow with your baby and provide plenty of stretch for crawling and general comfort, and also to make room for cloth diapers / nappies.

Please follow me on Instagram and Facebook for more information, updates and giveaways!

About

I discovered my creativity in my 30s!

Until I had my first child I had no idea how to sew and hadn't even sewn a button on! When Maebelle came along I found myself one day in a hormone -induced shopping frenzy buying a sewing machine I had no idea how to use, and tons of fabric I had no idea what to do with. It remained in the car boot for a couple of weeks while I tried to figure out how to tell my husband about my illogical purchases... and it all started there. I taught myself, with the help of a good friend, and soon began to realise that I had the creative bug. I've never managed to follow a pattern yet, but have created my own designs through studying other clothing and working out how it is all done!

I love to work with jersey and knit fabrics and wherever possible I try to source organic products, but sometimes there is something that is not organic but just too cute to resist......

The business has grown very quickly and I have left my career to focus on M&B now. I make everything around my children so it is chaotic and full on at times, but I love it!

More recently I have started to design my own fabric. The clothing made with these designs are exclusive to Maebelle & Bo - we believe children should be as bright and bold as possible. All of our products made from our original fabric designs are printed and made up in a wonderful GOTS certified establishment in India where the staff are respected, safe, happy and well paid. We work very closely with our partners in India and are very proud of their working practices, ethical standards and attention to detail. We hope you love our original designs too!

I also sell fabric in a separate shop - check out MeaebelleAndBoFabrics !

LOST ITEMS. Unfortunately no postal system is perfect and at times items go missing. I alway obtain a proof of postage and cannot be responsible for items which are lost in the post. As noted above ordinarily I send packages via the normal postal system and airmail internationally. Such packages are insured up to a value of £20, but I cannot track them. Should such a package go missing, I can claim for the value up to £20. I am happy to do so and to refund this to the buyer, less any costs or fees I incur in doing so. The Royal Mail requires that you wait at least 20 working days (for Europe) or 25 working days (for the rest of the world) before making such a claim. I can make a claim on the purchaser's behalf and will need a signed note from the purchaser to say that the item did not arrive in time. I will refund the money (up to the insured amount) once this is credited to me from the Royal Mail.

Should you wish to insure your package for more then please chose the postal upgrade choice at checkout for tracked postage, or contact me prior to paying and I will adjust the postage cost for you. To insure a package for more, and to be able to track it, costs a further £5 and the package will be insured to a value up to £50.

DAMAGED ITEMS All of my orders are ironed, wrapped carefully and packaged in a sealed plastic envelope. I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to the package in transit, but I am happy to provide the purchaser with a signed note stating that the item was carefully packaged prior to posting in order to assist with any claim for the damage.

I accept returns, however I pride myself on producing good quality clothes, and i hope you find them to be good quality. Please contact me directly if you feel the item is not s described.

I do accept cancellations before items are shipped. Please bear in mind ready-to-ship items may be dispatched on the same day and cannot be cancelled once they are dispatched.
Payment
PAYMENT

I accept various forms of payment (Etsy gift card, direct payment or Paypal) but Paypal is my preferred method. With Paypal you can pay via credit or debit card without creating a Paypal account.

Unless the items are listed as * ready to ship* I start work on items once payment is received and send them out within the dispatch period specified. I try to dispatch items sooner rather than later, but some months are busier than others and I prioritise items in the order they have been purchased and paid for. If you have any problem paying for the item within 5 days of purchase, please contact me and I will hold the order at my discretion, however this may affect the dispatch time. I will otherwise cancel any other unpaid for order.

If, for whatever reason, you wish to cancel the sale within the period prior to dispatch I will send a refund, less any charges incurred for relisting etc. This does not apply to custom made orders.
Shipping
SHIPPING

Address – Please ensure that you state clearly the address where the item is to be sent if it is different from the address registered with Etsy or Paypal.

Timeframes – Unless specified my items are not ready to ship, so I make all orders from scratch once payment is received. As mentioned above I aim to ship orders as soon as possible within the dispatch period, but some months are busier than others and I also have my own little monsters to look after, so bear with me! If I am due to go away or am not able to post within the usual dispatch period I will either set my shop to holiday mode, or post a note explaining there may be delays.

Postage - Within the UK all orders are shipped via Royal Mail with a proof of postage. Where cost allows I will send via the signed-for service, but this is not my standard postage policy. If you would prefer Recorded Deliver or Special Delivery please contact me prior to making payment as there may be additional postage costs to cover this.

International orders are sent via regular Airmail and, depending on the country you live in, can take in excess of 20 business days to arrive. I do not usually send parcels via priority or tracking mail, but there is an option at checkout for this. This option is recommended for international customers as items can very occasionally go missing in the post and tracking ensures that we know where they are, but also insures the parcel up to £50. Normal Airmail packages are only insured up to a value of £20 if they go missing.

Customs fees, taxes and charges – Please remember that if you are ordering internationally you are the importer and you are responsible for paying any customs fees, taxes or charges that you country’s import laws impose. Please contact your customs office and check that you are aware of these prior to placing an order as I cannot advise on these matters.

Presentation – These clothes are made in a pet-free, smoke-free home. All my items are carefully checked and wrapped with brown paper or in a clear plastic presentation bag. Please state if your order is a gift and I will include a note.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am always open to feedback! Also I love creating so if there is anything you would like me to make just convo me and I'll see what I can do.

I, Rachael Rook-Williams, am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my shop, Maebelle & Bo.

This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy or any third party services you access through Etsy. You can reference the Etsy Privacy Policy to learn more about its privacy practices.

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product(s) that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order, for example), if you contact me directly.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
• as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfill your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
• when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
• if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
• as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

• With delivery companies to fulfil your order.
• Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.

• I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed above, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Data Retention
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 6 years. After this time I will delete your data from my records.

Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
• Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
• Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
• Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
• Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
