Our old pottery was in the New Forest where roses grew round the door and ponies visited for coffee break for biscuits -

Now we've moved just 3 miles over the border into Dorset but the pottery continues in more modern surroundings
Celebrating 50 years at Folly Pottery.
I'm happily celebrating my 50th year in pottery and still think it's the best job in the world. I'm from an old pottery family, three generations of us used to work altogether at Folly Pottery's old buildings in the New Forest, now I carry on the tradition in a newer studio space just over the border in Dorset where I'm pleased to say my 22-month-old grandson has started to learn to throw pots on the potter's wheel already.
To celebrate my 50th year and the 40th anniversary of Mum and I starting Folly Pottery together in 1982, I thought it would be a nice idea to return to our roots a little and make again some of the animals we were known for way back then.
So as we reopen for the autumn and winter months of 2022, expect lots of ducks, piggies, sheep, dogs, whales, hedgehogs and rabbits :-D

This small company has been doing my canvas prints for years, they are remarkably great printers, fast, accurate and very efficient. They will take my artwork, print it onto their canvas, then stretch it over the wooden frame and attach a silvery coloured hanging fixing, ready to pop on the wall.

breakages in transit?
Maggie of Folly Pottery personally guarantees that should any item not arrive from her safely, she will replace the item FREE OF CHARGE, Maggie is known at her postal office as the Queen of Overpacking, and as she becomes very fond of her work, she wants to know that they will each have a trouble-free transit to their new homes, so lives up to this reputation and adds extra layers of packing :-D
WHAT TO DO IF A BREAKAGE OCCURS - return it via Etsy in the usual way (which will incur postal charges), and Maggie will refund those postal charges and then get the replacement to you as soon as possible - BEARING IN MIND PLEASE that some items are one-offs and may take several weeks to reproduce at the pottery :-)
is this item dishwasher/microwave proof?
All dinnerware, mugs and jugs are microwavable and dishwasher proof unless it is stated in bold in the description.
For all other items, please check the description for individual care instructions.
there's a blemish!
Handmade pottery is full of little marks which prove it's handmade authenticity so please don't see them as blemishes. Having said that, if you really hate any part of your item, return it for a refund or replacement in the usual way. Maggie will totally understand :-)
