Buyers are raving!

This shop got multiple 5-star reviews in the past 7 days.

Announcement    I sell a range of needle felted creations, kits and supplies so that you too can experience the joys of needle and wet felting. I particularly enjoy teaching people how to needle felt and have catered for small and large groups of people in their homes, in village halls, schools and in my 18th Century cottage in the Dorset countryside where I get much of my inspiration from.
I try to use materials which are local and eco friendly when possible and I always try to buy British where I can.
I love vintage and also enjoy a little bit of quirky and unique.
Maybe you do too so I hope you enjoy browsing my shop.

If you would like to be put on my mailing list for workshops in Dorset just send me your email and i will send you a sign up form. you can unsubscribe at any time.

Beautiful handmade needle felted animals, kits, artwork and felt making workshops. #makewithmaryjane

I am lucky enough to live in one of the smallest counties in England, close to the Jurassic coast and right in the middle of Hardy's Wessex. With no cities or motorways, Dorset is mostly rural and is an area of outstanding beauty.

Living here inspired me to indulge my more creative side and once I made the decision to limit my work tutoring I began to really enjoy taking up new skills. I have always enjoyed experimenting with different mediums but it has only been in the last five years that I really began to enjoy textiles.

My love of felting, finds me working in the kitchen, close to the kettle and butler sink. This gives me ample opportunity to watch my growing number of garden birds preening and feeding themselves in my kitchen garden.

My watercolours reflect my surroundings and invariably, a little jaunt into the woods is ended with a session painting back at the cottage. We have a sweet little coppice close to where I live and I often walk the dog through the lattice of hazel trees, spotting unusual lichen and fungi on the ancient ash stumps or discovering plants, rooted in British folklore and literature.

My studio is located in my 18th century cottage in a spare bedroom which happen to have a good amount of natural light but when I host felt making parties we gather in one of my favourite rooms in the house. The dining room is perfect to teach needle felting during a workshop and I particular enjoy doing so to a group who are invariably enthusiastic and keen to learn a very versatile and rewarding skill..
