Announcement    *** COVID-19 UPDATE***

13/05/2020

Due to the current situation in the UK my delivery times and dispatch deadlines have now increased, especially for orders placed outside of the UK. While I will make every effort to make and dispatch your orders as quickly as possible, delivery dates may be longer than those Etsy are displaying as the postal service is subject to increased activity and pressure during these difficult times.

I am sorry for this inconvenience that this causes. If you have any questions or comments before placing orders, please do get in touch and I will continue to do all I can to help. All best wishes,

Matt

Welcome to my Etsy shop selling handcrafted British jewellery, made by myself in my studio based in rural Norfolk, close to the historic city of Norwich. I use Red and Yellow Gold, Sterling Silver, Gemstones and Sea Glass to create stylish and wearable jewellery and because they are handmade no two pieces are ever the same. A number of my larger pieces carry my hallmark registered at Goldsmiths' Hall in London. Jewellery design and production is a passion of mine as is customer service. My primary aim, alongside creating exciting and wearable jewellery is to help you, the customer, choose a piece of jewellery that you or a loved one will enjoy wearing for many years to come.

I really hope you enjoy browsing through my work and if you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me and I'll do my best to help.

All the best and happy shopping!
Matt

Matt Brewer Jewellery - Silver, Gemstone and Sea Glass Jewellery

My name is Matt and since I was a small child I have always had a fascination with gemology and jewellery. It has always been a dream of mine to open a small jewellery shop and in 2014 this became a reality.

I grew up in rural Norfolk, UK, and I am inspired by the coast and the seascape. I create jewellery made from gold, sterling silver, precious and semi-precious gemstones and gorgeous sea glass that I find along the east coast of the UK. I also love to include gemstones into my designs; I really love the variety and colour of precious and semi precious gemstones that I use. All of my work is handmade by me in my little workshop. I take pride in only using the best quality metals and am constantly striving to better my work and what I do. I hope you enjoy browsing through my shop and do get in touch if you have any questions or comments. A number of my larger pieces carry my hallmark, MJB, registered at Goldsmiths' Hall Assay Office in London.

Information I Collect
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order of jewellery, for example), if you contact me directly.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
• as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
• when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
• if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
• as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

• Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
• Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
• Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
• Compliance with laws. Data Retention
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 2 years.

If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.

Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
