Papel picado is Mexican fiesta bunting, and we have an incredible selection to offer you! We are very proud of the amazing artisans with whom we work, and the incredibly intricate papel picado banners they make. We also custom-make personalised papel picado banners for any occasion.

Our unique handmade papel picado banners make brilliant birthday party decorations, wedding decorations, anniversary party decorations, Day of the Dead decorations, Halloween decorations. We also feature a cute baby themed pastel range for baby shower decorations or children’s room decor.

We have three different types of papel picado bunting banners, all handmade from the finest materials available, and sustainable wherever and whenever possible! You can choose either:
• tissue paper banners
• plastic banners - perfect for outdoor party decorations, as they are waterproof bunting,
• sparkling metallic foil banners - also perfect inside or outside party decorations and outdoor bunting

Our papel picado fiesta decorations are handmade both in Puebla and Xochimilco, Mexico City, using the traditional handicraft of cutting out designs and sweet messages with a hammer and hundreds of different shaped chisels.

We also create custom-made personalised papel picado wedding decorations handmade to order. If you don't know how much papel picado to order in total, message with me with your venue dimensions and a photo of your venue. I will let you know how much to buy, based on a medium or a full coverage.
We custom-make all the personalised papel picado orders to fit the exact measurements of the venue, so you can just unpack them and hang them up instantly.

COLOUR MATCHING (my favourite thing!):

I can help you select what colours of tissue paper, plastic, or metallic foil to choose for your bunting banners. I LOVE colour matching to customers’ colour pallets! Just send me your bouquet photo, mood boards, or photo ideas, etc. for a wedding, or any corporate stationary or logos for events. I will reply straight away with some ideas of what colours might look best. If you send me a list of colour numbers from my Colour Selector I will send you photos of the actual tissue paper swatches, so you can see which you like best.

HOW TO HANG PAPEL PICADO:

To hang the papel picado bunting, just tie the string at both ends end to a wall, post, tree, or curtain rail, with cellotape or a tack. To make longer garlands, tie the banners together at each end; to make them shorter, just tear off the excess flags and cut the string down to the desired length.
