13" Minivivi pads are now available in Original absorbency (around 250ml capacity) or LITE absorbency (around 150ml capacity)!!!

Practical, affordable, feminine solutions

Minivivi was born in 2014 when I was unable to find good quality washable pads suitable for my incontinence. I wanted something that absorbed fast, had a high capacity but was slim enough to wear under leggings. The hundreds of menstrual pads I tried just were not suitable for incontinence for one reason or another, so I decided to learn to sew and make my own.

I suffer with many autoimmune diseases, which means I use these pads day in, day out. I had a team of almost 100 testers helping to develop the pads to ensure they suited as many shapes and sizes as possible, and did their job properly. So you can shop knowing that these pads have been tested thoroughly. They are tested to last for over 200 washes and if cared for like clothing, they should last as long as clothing. Our website shows our stockists, who each have a unique, hand-dyed colourway or print/design. From rainbows to beautiful sunsets and sea colours, there are colours and materials to suit everyone.

We also have a Facebook group, Minivivi ViviClub, where you can get your hands on unique and limited edition prints, giveaways and exclusive products such as our ViviPod storage pouches for pads in your handbag, and our Straw Pods for carrying around your reusable straws! The group members get first choice of the new stock before it is put up here so it's definitely worth joining the group!

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

Prewash several times before first use, the pads will become more absorbent as they are washed and dried up to 10 times.

Store in a waterproof bag after use for up to 3 days before washing.

Do not soak or use harsh products like napisan, vanish, bleach or vinegar as these may damage some of the fabrics.

Wash brights separately, we recommend using a colour catcher as they are hand-dyed.

Wash at 40 or 60 degrees with non-bio detergent.

Do not use fabric conditioner, this will reduce absorbency.

Gently flatten and stretch the pad when wet from the wash to retain shape and length.

Tumble dry on low heat only if absolutely necessary, we recommend line drying where possible to prolong life span.

Sunshine will help fade any staining.

To use

Once prewashed, to wear your pad, place the grey side down against your underwear with the longer end at the front, then fold the wings round the gusset and snap together underneath.
There are two size settings to suit different widths of gusset and you can adjust the position of the pad by sliding it forward or back once you have pulled up your underwear.

If sitting or lying down for longer periods, you may prefer the longer end of the pad at the back. To remove the pad, reach under the gusset and unsnap the wings. We have added a special tab to make this easier to do. You can then fold the pad and pop it in a wetbag/waterproof bag or container until ready to wash. Do not soak your pads as this may damage them or reduce their lifespan.

Snap colours

Pads with black snaps are Original absorbency with the full core.

Pads with grey snaps are LITE absorbency with a half core.

Which top should I choose?

Bamboo velour feels more stay-dry against the skin and is super soft. It also holds slightly more fluid than cotton. However, bamboo does not like dry heat so should be kept away from radiators.

Cotton absorbs faster than bamboo velour but also feels more damp against the skin when wet. Brushed cotton can also go "bobbly" quite fast so is not as aesthetically pleasing as bamboo velour. Cotton is generally more robust than bamboo and can withstand more tumble drying and radiator drying. For fastest absorbency choose brushed cotton, or jersey cotton is the same fabric as most cotton underwear and more aesthetically pleasing.
