Frequently asked questions
How to Size Your Finger
1. Purchase the re-usable plastic UK or US Ring Multi-sizers we have for sale in the sundries section of the store. Wind it around the finger, including the knuckles. The sizer should be fairly snug when going on and off the knuckles.
2. If you have a ring that fits the desired finger
2a. Measure the internal diameter from metal to metal in mm as precisely as you can. Every 0.1mm will make a slight difference.
2b. Use a Ring Size Mandrel that can be purchased at an online marketplace and measure your ring on there.
NB: Width of ring being measured - Ideally the ring being measured should be no more than 2-3mm band width. Please send us your readings if its a wider band.
3. Get measured by a reputable jeweller
Policy Regarding Shipping Costs
ALL Original Postage & Returns/Exchange postage to be paid by the buyer,
Order Number & action required to be noted.
All returns to be sent in a padded envelope, following the instructions on 'How to package goods for Returns and Exchanges' in the FAQ section.
UK returns to be sent back via a post office and do obtain a proof of postage.
International Returns - please fill out the CN22 Customs Declaration form when returning goods, and ensure you write 'RETURNED GOODS' in the description section. Please also write a nominal $15 as the value.
For exchanges, we prefer you rebuy the correct item and once we have your returned jewellery back, we will refund you for the cost of it (excl original postage).
Delivery Policy
Items under £25 - UK, USA sent with Royal Mail Standard Service - NOT tracked. Please upgrade to the tracked method if you want a tracking number. Rest of the World sent Tracked
Items £26+ - UK sent Recorded Signed for 2nd Class or Special Delivery if over £60. Rest of the World - sent Royal Mail Tracked.
Larger items like Big Rings, we charge a Small Parcel Shipping Price.
For UK - We offer Special Delivery (Next Day) for orders received Monday - Thursday before 12pm.
NB - We charge extra for additional items bought, to get the postage to a tracked value - any excess beyond the cap will be refunded when processing the orders.
Free Shipping Listings - items returned, we will deduct the cost of shipping from the refund
How to Package Goods for Returns and Exchanges
Please place the item flat in the plastic seal bag first and then place this packet into the gift bag. For Rings, please ensure it is sitting flat in the return envelope. If it is on its side, it is quite likely to get squashed in transit. We will not refund your money if the item is unsaleable .
Please also ensure the item is returned in a padded envelope, with all order details enclosed. You can reuse the envelope it was sent in, but do seal securely.
For international Returns, you must fill out the CN22 Customs Declaration form and attach to the outside of the envelope. Please mark the parcel as 'RETURNED GOODS' and write a nominal $15 as the value of the item to avoid paying customs charges.
Product Care
To ensure longevity of your jewellery, we suggest the following to keep your pieces looking new and to avoid damage
Take off Jewellery before any heavy activity to avoid damage
Avoid contact with chemicals ie household cleaners, chlorine
Try not to immerse rings in too much water as the stones can come away from the silver.
Apply lotions/perfume/hairspray BEFORE putting on the Jewellery
After wear, always clean the jewellery with an Anti-Tarnish Silver Cleaning Cloth and store individually, away from other jewellery to avoid scratches (maybe in the gift bags supplied)
Mixed Metal Jewellery can be cleaned with a silver cloth, metal cleaners or with a natural mixture of Lemon and Bicarb of Soda. Please do not use Silver Dips
Shipping Times
We use Royal Mail to send all our packages.
UK Orders usually take between 1 to 3 working days to arrive after being shipped. NB during Peak times things are taking longer, especially London Orders
International Orders
Europe - Royal Mail quote 3 to 5 working days, but could take longer, especially as goods have to clear customs post Brexit
Rest of the World - Royal Mail quote 5 to 7 working days, but in some instances it has taken up to 28 working days, after which we can deem that the parcel has gone astray and we will work with you on this
For US, Canadian and European orders if you wish to track the goods, we do recommend you upgrade to the next shipping method if items are under £25, which will provide a tracking number.
What address do we post to?
We will take the address on your Etsy Account as the correct address to ship to, so please do ensure every aspect of it is correct, including correct Zip / Post Codes, House Numbers, Apartment Numbers, and District.
NB: - If your parcel is being ordered to ship to a public place ie place of work, halls of residence, where it has to go through multiple hands before it reaches you, we highly recommend you upgrade to a tracked postal service, so that a signature can be obtained and the items are insured.
Coupon Codes Usage & Free Shipping
Please note that the discount code offered at the time of your initial and future orders is only valid against future repeat orders and not against Exchanges for first orders.
Where Free Shipping has accrued on Eligible orders - if items are returned to us, we will deduct the cost of the shipping from the final refund to cover the cost of having sent it out to you originally. Returns shipping will also have to be paid by you. This applies where the items are no longer required, due to ill fit or doesn't suit. If there is a quality issue, the above will not apply. For exchanges, you will have to pay to return the item and also pay to have the new item sent out. Free shipping will only apply to the first shipment out to you.
Time frame for Faulty Products
If your jewellery piece becomes faulty within 6 months of the original purchase date, we will aim to either fix it for you or offer you an exchange/part refund - depending on the issue and the time the item has been worn. After 6 months we can only try and fix it for you and will try to accommodate the best we can. If the design of the item is such that with wear it has caught on something and snapped due to negligence, we will not refund, but happy to work with you. We have some unusual designs of rings that can get caught on things, so please make a note of this before purchasing
Why is my Multi Metal Ring Going Dull
Brass and Copper metals naturally oxidise with moisture, be it from the air or from contact with damp skin, and in some cases where people have a more acidic body constitution. Over time, these metals will start to get dull with wear. It can be easily rectified and made shiny again by purchasing a Silver Cleaning cloth we have inshore under Sundries, or using a metal cleaner or making a natural paste of Lemon and Bicarb of Soda to buff the metal back to its original shininess.
