Preserving, celebrating and connecting to the past!

There is something about collecting, buying and selling vintage pieces that gives me a sense of happiness and satisfaction.

One my personal favorite parts of the vintage world is the connection that it gives us to the past. I love the timeworn pieces that show us their story. A worn leather suitcase, the crazing on pottery, the patina of old silver, chipping paint on an old farm table. I love finding clues to the past, a link to the history of an object and its previous owner. A note tucked in a book, reading the messages on the back of an old photo, the signatures in a yearbook, or an old receipt that lead us to understand a bit about another time, place and person. Our vintage finds give us a window to the past. As our ever changing world and the rapid progress of technology take us into the future I find it increasingly important to understand and appreciate our past.
