Moulin Designs - original cross stitch designs and related needlecraft supplies

Moulin Designs is the creative arm of our French business Aiguille Anglaise (English Needle) which has it's own Etsy shop.
I made my first cross stitch design in 1993 when I could not find a suitable design to fit into a card with a fan aperture that I had. So instead I made my own design and have developed my range of designs from then on.
In 2008 I moved to rural France and worked from my studio (built from a disused animal loft!) in the beautiful south-west of France, among the sunflower fields, producing a range of cross stitch designs, some in chart form and some in kit form. Some of my designs are inspired by Celtic, patchwork, geometric, Christmas and local French sources. Many of my models are designed to fit into aperture cards, coasters, fridge magnets and I like the challenge of making designs fit into a particular shaped item, be it round, square, heart shaped etc.
I have been selling my own designs since 2010 through e-commerce and attendance at needlecraft shows in both France and England. I also sell many of the related needlecraft supplies that I use in completing my designs.
Presently, I am dividing my time between England and France as I became a Grandma (twice over) in 2015 to my 2 adorable grandchildren.
My current projects include expanding my range of designs, both cross stitch and Blackwork, and trying to offer most of my designs as either chart format (printed or PDF) and as kits.

I design unique Cross Stitch and Blackwork models to sell as charts or complete kits. I trained to teach needlework in 1979 and as part of my course I tried all kinds of embroidery but became addicted to cross stitch and Blackwork most of all!
