Hi, my name is Sharon and I am the creator and designer here at Nashira Jewellery.

I handcraft unique jewellery from my workshop on the Jurassic Coast of South Dorset.

Each piece of jewellery has been a labour of love, made with passion, time and dedication, so that every order going out is of the highest quality with a unique, personal touch.

Using a variety of sustainably sourced materials from recycled sterling 925 silver, precious metal clay (999 silver), gold, bonded gold (gold filled), semi-precious gemstones and local sea glass, the designs are modern, elegant and contemporary. Styles range from simple and delicate to larger bolder statement pieces.

Each piece is designed and crafted by hand with great care in order to produce a range of jewellery that is individual and unique to the wearer.

If you like your accessories to be "that little bit different" then you may have just found the piece you are looking for!

All my jewellery is handmade by me, not wholesale and not from China!

🌿 Eco-friendly packaging, which is either recyclable or reusable - even the packaging tape is plastic free.

** DELIVERY WITHIN THE UK ONLY **

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalised orders

I have a selection of made to order items such as bangles & the wave necklace.

The bangles will need testing and hallmarking at the Assay Office therefore will take approximately 3-4 weeks.

I will always try to reduce this timeframe.

The wave necklace for example only needs a 925 stamp which can be hand-stamped by myself. This is due to the fact that it weighs less than 7.78g which is the legal weight requirement. The processing time for this is 1-2 weeks.
Any custom made / personalised items can not be returned / refunded unless faulty.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All my items are popped inside a re-usable hessian or linen gift bag and then wrapped in Eco-Friendly recyclable tissue paper.

All items are sent inside a Recyclable Postal Box (size C6) via Royal Mail 1st class Signed For or Special Delivery for orders totalling £50 or more. This box should fit through a standard letter box. The labels and sellotape are recyclable & plastic free.

There is the option to choose Royal Mail Special Delivery for a more expedited form of delivery, for a small additional charge, for those order values under £50.

Delivery is within the UK only currently.

Seaglass

Each piece of sea glass I use is authentic, genuine sea glass - most of which has been personally collected by me from the beaches near my home in Dorset

Sea glass is broadly defined as glass which has been discarded into the oceans or on beaches, thereafter spending many decades being gently tumbled by the waves. This gives it the characteristic smooth edges and beautiful frosted appearance which defines it

The quality and colour of each piece determines its rarity and subsequent value, and this will be described in the sale listing and if relevant reflected in the price. I will always try to show the colour as accurately as possible in images

All glass is washed & checked for any sharp or rough edges prior to being used, then oiled

What materials do I use?

I mainly work with 925 sterling silver, 999 fine silver & 9ct gold but also use 14ct gold filled chains and findings. Gold filled jewellery is a more affordable way to wear something gold.

In addition to sterling silver & gold, I use a variety of other components and beads including cultured pearls, Swarovski Crystals and Gemstones & Sea Glass.

The quality and value of all semi-precious stones can vary greatly, and this will be reflected in the price on each piece.

All silver & gold components are bought within the UK from a well-known reputable company.

Beads, crystals and gemstones are sourced as local to me as possible but sometimes the gemstones come from further afield.

One of a kind?

Every item I make is handcrafted by me to my own designs. Due to the nature of the materials and techniques used, most pieces are unique and 'one of a kind', especially when featuring sea glass or other natural materials

The plain bangles can be repeated fairly easily, however any texture added to them such as hammering will always be slightly different due to the nature of the texture & method of applying the detail.

Postage/Despatch

WITHIN UK ONLY:
All jewellery is sent out via Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For service with proof of postage obtained.

You can upgrade to Royal Mail’s Special Delivery for an additional £4 at checkout for a more expedited service for orders less than £50.

All orders totalling £50 or more will automatically be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery (next working day by 1pm).

I will post your order out within 1 business day. If your order is received before 1pm, I can usually post it the same day.

Why buy handmade?

Handmade products are great for the environment. Most handmade products do not require a factory or large production facility. Instead, nearly all are made in small craft studios and workshops, the transformed shed at the bottom of the garden, or people’s own homes.

Handmade is often very local, so it doesn’t travel hundreds and thousands of miles to get to you. When you order from Nashira Jewellery, you know that your handmade order is coming from within the UK and it’s made here in the UK too!

Is handmade unique?

Yes! Absolutely!

Unlike gifts that are mass-produced, you will often find unique differences in each handmade item, which really makes the product and the purchase very special. Nobody in the whole world will have exactly the same item, and that’s pretty unique!

Supporting small UK businesses

When you buy a product from Nashira Jewellery, you are directly support a UK based artist. Although it may not be directly local to you, the money stays in the UK, and that’s a pretty big deal. Instead of your money going to large international companies where the maker or designer receives a fraction of the product price, it goes directly to the person who made your wonderful gift.

But it’s not just about money. Each purchase, gives the artist, the maker, the crafts person a confidence in their product, chance to develop their skills further, opportunity to re-invest the money back to their business and carry on producing beautiful works of art.
