Created in our studio in North Norfolk, our work celebrates the things we love: the energy of light, space and movement; the natural world; inspiration from our travels and just anything which catches our attention.
Krys paints in oils, using textural techniques he has developed over many years. Under-painted areas of acrylic, carefully etched with turpentine, show through layers of oil wash, with impasto highlights. His figures move through, and celebrate, the landscape, which itself is often the main focus.
Tracy moves between printmaking and ceramics, at present combining both techniques in her ceramic forms. Having come to pottery only in the last few years, she is constantly exploring the many possibilities clay gives her to create distinctive decorative and useful objects.
The pieces on sale in this shop are the smaller and easier to post ones.

5 out of 5 starsI predict I will have bragging rights for being the first person to buy from this wonderful shop! I like Tracy's use of heavy contrast to create drama and atmosphere, where to use saturation, and where to leave space. For example, in Statue III, the strong ochre walls and checkerboard flooring grabs attention, but by leaving the statue completely blank, Tracy provides breathing space and balance. I also see how the strong background heightens the sense that the statue is not just a statue - she is naked, yet holds her own in her surroundings. Please forgive if these words come across as pretentious, but I think this is really good work. I even love the scratchy little marks that add texture to the floor. I exchanged emails with Tracy and she was lovely. Again, what a great find!
