Watercolour Realism is my "thing"!
Having spent my career in retail, on retirement I decided to go back to my first love, Art. I studied History of Art and Architecture at degree level, and at the time became very interested in the Pre-Raphaelites and the English landscape artists.
Later on, I was drawn towards Hyperrealism - or my version of it which I like to call "Watercolour Realism" and this has all influenced my style in producing highly detailed, naturalistic landscapes and seascapes.
My watercolour paintings tend to be A2, A3 or A4 size, but I can of course undertake other sizes, even miniatures. I use high quality watercolour paper and paints.
The talented Rich Clark (@RichClarkImages), a Tunbridge Wells based photographer and giclee printer who takes care of all my artwork scanning, colour matching and printing. I also work with an excellent framer, Colin Hales, whom I recommend strongly – please see the section on Picture Framing.
I have had pictures for sale in several art galleries and I am currently exhibiting with the prestigious Kent Painters Group. https://kentpaintersgroup.co.uk/
