5 out of 5 starsJust the most beautiful mug, bought as a gift but immediately bought another one to add to my collection of Noriko’s pieces. Love hearing what inspires the design as well. Came carefully wrapped.

One of my inspiration for my future works. Sunset in London
Handmade ceramics bring in nature into home.
I was born in Osaka and have lived in North London for 16 years. In 2014, I started taking some evening ceramics courses, In May 2017 I joined the Turning Earth Studio as a part time potter and in July 2017 I have become a full-time potter and slowly developing my own design and shape. In 2019 September , I setted up my own ceramics studio at my back garden in North Finchely ,London.
I love nature and most of my items are inspired by it. Trees, ocean scenery, the mountains, waterfalls, and animals all inspirations to me. I love food, so when I make my ceramics, I always think about how I can make food look better in my plates or bowls. Every day I explore finding better shapes, sizes, weight or better colours on the items that I make.
I used force of gravity for glazing each piece to creating one of kind ceramics.
Another one of my inspirations is Japanese Master Potter Mr. Shoji Hamada. His spontaneous designs and clean shapes are what I strive to achieve in my own work.
