How we got here and what we're about...

2020 was a strange year for everyone, and we were no exception! Like a lot of people, I lost my job due to the COVID19 pandemic - my wife Cat was forced to work from home, which meant a re-vamp of the spare room and a lot of head scratching thinking of where we could get lovely looking furniture that would fit the relatively snug space we had for a comfortable working environment.

After a lot of searching to no avail and finding myself with a lot of time on my hands, I thought I’d grab the tools from the shed and make the desk and monitor stand myself. I took a few pictures and thought I might as well see if anybody else would be interested in buying them, so I started a small Etsy shop in August 2020 whilst looking for a new job. It was a slow start, but I was pleasantly surprised by receiving any orders at all. Believe it or not, the only place with enough room to make the desks, monitor stands and console tables was our kitchen! I’m pleased to say this is no longer the case and all of our furniture is now hand-made in our little workshop in Coventry – and I’m so happy this is now my full time job!

A huge amount of care, attention and pride goes into everything we make, and as every piece of wood is slightly different, full of its own unique rustic character and charm, you can be sure that anything you order from us truly is a one off piece.

Where possible (and very often) we use reclaimed timber, but no matter the type of wood, it is always sustainably sourced and all of our desks are made with beautiful Scandinavian redwood pine, a very sturdy species full of lovely knots and natural features.
