A Rescue Mission

I love old things. I like the stories they hold and the feeling of nostalgia connected with them. It always seems such a waste when these things become unfashionable or worn out and are discarded.

My little shop is all about doing something about that. My mission is to rescue these once-loved treasures, modernise them and give them a new lease of life. With a little imagination and a well honed artistic eye I've discovered all sorts of little beauties who are now enjoying life in far flung places across the globe.

Welcome to PaintMeNew and thanks for taking an interest in my items. I hope you see something you like, and if not I am more than happy to start a custom project for you. Please contact me for details. If you like an item and would like me to personalise it by way of an initial or a name, please ask me and I will make every attempt to accommodate you.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
In the unlikely event that you want to return your item I will accept returns within 3 days of them being received by you. Unfortunately I cannot refund postage costs. The amount you paid for the item without postage will be refunded once the item has arrived back safely and undamaged. Items damaged on return cannot be refunded. A photo will be sent to you of the broken item so please ensure it is packaged well.


If an item reaches you and has been damaged in transit, please contact me with a clear photo of the damage and the packaging*. Depending on the level of damage inflicted there are a number of options that may be applicable to you:

1. The item is irreparable and is not worth returning - I will refund you 100%
2. The item can be repaired but you don't want it - I will refund you 100% and send you a label to return the item by courier
3. The item can be repaired and you'd like to keep it - I will refund you 10% of the item value before shipping costs


NB. Items damaged further on return may no longer be refunded. If so a photo will be sent to you of the broken item. Please ensure it is packaged well.

*Please provide a clear photo of the damaged item AND the original packaging as I will need this to claim from the courier. Thank you.
Payment must be made immediately after purchase. I accept credit card payments through Etsy and Paypal.
Shipping is via Hermes for both national and international parcels.

All shipping includes insurance for the full value of the item.

Please understand that the charges you pay to me for shipping DO NOT INCLUDE ANY CUSTOMS CHARGES OR TAXES. These fees may be assessed and charged by your government upon delivery. I do not and cannot mark an item as a "gift". Buyers must understand that they are responsible for paying any customs charges.
This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through or its related sites and services.

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order of a jewellery box, for example), if you contact me directly.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It

1. As needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;

3. If necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

1. Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
2. Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
