About

Natural and organic fibres, yarns and hand made items made using traditional Sami duodji and Finnish techniques.

I have been a hand spinner, dyer and weaver for several years. I love to work with natural materials to create beautiful colours, yarns and handwoven textiles. My work is influenced by the traditional methods and designs of my North Saami grandmother and my Finnish Karelian mother.
Many of my handmade items are based on Sami Duodji handcrafts that are designed to be functional objects that can be used in everyday life, are well crafted and are also beautiful.
I have recently undergone breast cancer surgery. I am slowly recovering from my surgery so have started to accept a few custom orders. Please contact me to discuss special orders. I will continue to add new items to my shop as I am able.
There may be a slight delay in shipping times, depending on my current state of health. I will do my best to keep you informed of progress.
I will be donating a portion of my sales to breast cancer research.
I thank you for your understanding.

My work is influenced by my Saami and Finnish Karelian ancestry. I practice the art of Sami duodji - the handcrafting traditions of the Sapmi, where hand made crafts are items of both beauty and function.
