Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders

I am happy to create custom patches to specification, and have done so many times already!
I can also personalise all of my existing designs to some level - name changes, colour changes etc., - so please feel free to send me a request!

Sizing details

All patches have their sizes listed in the text, but if you are unsure of fitting please send me a message and I can provide a comparison.
The sizes are given in centimetres as that is what my embroidery machine & program work in!
I am also happy to resize a patch if it is too small or too large for your purposes.

Care instructions

I do recommend you hand or spot wash your patches to help with their longevity.
Under no circumstances should your patch ever be bleached!
If ironing, please use a medium-high heat with low steam. The bright red thread will often change to a darker colour when hot - it changes back as it cools down.
For patches sent with iron-on glue backing, I do recommend you also sew them on for additional support.

How long does it take to arrive to [insert country]?

The service I use for posting is Royal Mail, First Class or Airmail Standard.
Generally, orders within the UK arrive within a couple of days of posting.
Europe has a "delivery aim" of 3-5 working days, although it can take a couple of weeks, especially at busy times of year.
For the rest of the world, the "delivery aim" is 5-7 working days, although parcels usually take around 1-2 weeks, with up to a month at busy times of year.

Do you ever do a discount period/sale?

For my main patches I haven't yet offered a discount/sale period - although I do occasionally hand out a free shipping code, or send a bonus free patch with an order.
I do sell imperfect/prototype patches which cost less than my usual stock - but they are obviously limited stock!

What does "Iron-on Glue Backing" mean?

It's a thin layer of glue on the back of the patch that allows you to iron it in place!
The patches are sent with a protective paper over the glue to stop them accidentally sticking to anything during transit, and I do still recommend you sew the patches on as well - a few stitches by hand usually hold well with the glued patches.

I use Vilene brand Bondaweb/Wonder Under for my patches!
