Hiking sticks, Hair sticks, toys, chairs, boxes and more all handmade from locally sourced hardwood

I've been building up Parisi Workshop for over fifteen years now. I started by working in my evenings and weekends, selling boxes and educational toys in a local craft shop. Whatever money I made went straight back into more wood and better tools. I gradually picked up some custom orders to make chairs and tables with waney edges and then on to rocking chairs. As people got to hear about my workshop they came asking for other things: walking sticks, hiking sticks and, as my daughter's hair grew very long (!), hair sticks.
These days I am lucky to have packed in my day job as a teacher. My wife and I now run a couple of holiday cottages in a market town in East Yorkshire, where the Iron Aged Parisi tribe thrived long before the Romans arrived. We love the slower pace of life, and the fact that we get to meet lots of happy holidaymakers, but perhaps more importantly (for me at least!) it means I get to spend much more time in my workshop.

    When not pottering in the workshop I look after our small flock of chickens and do what I can to encourage wildlife into our garden. I recently saw a hedgehog struggling to climb our steps so I made it a little set of brick steps. I'm a big softy!
