5 out of 5 starsI bought this for a dear friend and with the minimum of fuss it arrived, well in time, beautifully wrapped.
My friend just sent me a message saying:
“Merry Christmas Rosie. It was great to see you and Jack & James. Thank you for my present. It is an absolutely beautiful linocut print. Think I might treat myself to something else by the same artist.”
Excellent. -

5 out of 5 starsLove this! I purchased the piece as a companion to "Isle of Skye, Scotland", and the two pair beautifully. The prints are vibrant and lively and make me happy just to view them. Shipped and delivered promptly and in perfect condition. This was an excellent purchasing experience; I highly recommend this artist.

I work in a small space in my home. I'd like to say it's organised and neat, but that's another work in progress.
-
Work in progress on a variety of projects.
-
My reading specs and palette (customised from an old Ferrero Rocher box).

My linocut process - Take a photo, store it on my tablet, sketch out an idea, trace onto lino, reverse photo, cut away!

For my pen and ink drawings I use a dip pen with India or Acrylic Ink. And usually no specs.
Tiny space, big art!
I work from a small space in my home, and so mostly I create small scale works of art in a variety of media, although at the moment my focus is mainly on hand pressed linocuts and small acrylic paintings. For my linocuts I use water based pigments as I print at home in a domestic setting and these are more suitable for the home environment. I press all of my linocuts by hand using a spoon or a baren, although I have also been known to use an old electric iron (never switched on of course!).
For many years I worked exclusively in dip pen and ink, having first used this media when I was a teenager. I go back to my pen and ink drawing from time to time, and when I do I usually get very obsessed with the medium, which I find totally addictive.
I have a growing interest in new media too, having pored over digital artwork created on Photoshop and Illustrator for many years. I used to buy magazines devoted to digital arts and wonder how these beautiful, glowing and apparently complex works of art were created. When I graduated from my graphic design degree (I specialised in illustration) digital art was very much in its infancy and so art created on a computer has the glow of almost magic about it for me. I have dabbled in it from time to time over the years, and I still haven't abandoned my hope of exploring this new media in future.
I have taken part in many exhibitions over the years, mainly open exhibitions, and have been awarded several Highly Recommended commendations and a few prizes too. My proudest moment to date was being awarded the GMC Prize at the 2017 RBSA (Royal Birmingham Society of Artists) Prize Exhibition.
