Video summary: How I make my pressed flower art and dried flower frame

Pressed flowers framed and pictures show the beauty of nature on your wall.

Pressed flowers and dried herbs framed have been my passion for as long as I remember. As a teenager I would make herbariums (pressed flowers framed) and sell them at a local market. However I was easily lead into the corporate lifestyle and after working for a large bank for 10 years I decided to leave and pursue my plant interest. I realised that working with flora made me much happier and at peace then sitting is a large office. I decided to create rustic or vintage style herbariums which would look amazing in people's homes and show the beauty of nature. A lot of artwork in stores now days features cities and busy surroundings I aim to show that an ecological piece can look just as aesthetically pleasing but also bring a more calm and peaceful element to your home. After leaving my long term corporate job I first made pressed botanical pictures to sell to the local town in Ireland that I moved to. They received a lot of success and so I decided to offer them for sale online. I love working with wild flowers as you can see from my collection. I am very selective with the flowers that I pick to make sure that nothing goes to waste and that every single stem and flower that I pick ends up in a herbarium. I am very weary of damaging the eco system therefore I will never collect a rare specimen. I sincerely hope you like my handmade herbariums. In all my herbariums I use only handmade wooden frames. These frames are made of pine, spruce, oak, mulberry, aspen, ash, beech wood. All my pictures under the glass. In my works I use only the old (40-50 years) glass with a thickness of 2-4 mm.
