Vintage house, vintage home, vintage soul.

I always loved vintage and been a creative person, I first started creating cake stands for friends and family as my confidence grew so did my designs. I now have around twenty designs of bird feeders alone, some of which have been in a winning show garden, and one of my vinyl creations was in a american home design tv show. Pretty Vintage house is run by me full-time now so I get more time to be creative and go treasure hunting for that vintage treasure, Which is great as I can't resist buying vintage and sharing my shop with you stops me becoming a hoarder.

At pretty vintage house we specialise in giving fine china a new lease of life for future generations to enjoy, from bird feeders to chandeliers and much more in between. We also provide vintage and retro items in their original form but not just china, jewellery, accessories and more. All our china is free from cracks, chips and crazing (unless stated) but the gilding may show signs of rubbing wear, however we feel this only adds to the character and charm of our often one off , unique items.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
You have the right and within 14 days to change your mind after you have received your item. If you wish to cancel I will refund cost of item on receipt of item. You will assume responsibility for return shipping, Free shipping does NOT include free returns. Consumers are under a statutory duty throughout the period of possession of the goods to take reasonable care of them. When returning an item, items should be packaged well like I sent them and you will need a certificate of posting at the minimum. If the item is lost in transit "you" will need to be able to claim compensation.
I do not refund buyers for failure to collect items from postal offices after attempted delivery. Most postal services hold items for 15 days, so this is the responsibility of the buyer not the seller. If you require a later delivery due to holiday e.t.c. let me know at time of order and I'm happy to do so. Such items should be returned to me and can be dispatched again on receipt of additional postage
If you receive a parcel from me and it appears damaged before opening, take a picture of the parcel. Contact me and provide a photo of the parcel and the damaged item unpacked within 1 day. All monies including return postage of the item if return requested will be refunded. I do record images of all my items during and before dispatch. Also, if your item is damaged but not the parcel again contact me, provide a photograph I will refund on proof of damage. Accidents happen rarely as I pack well but I still want my customers to be happy.
Payment
Payment is due on order and within 24 hrs, items will not be dispatched until payments are received.
Delivery
All items (not made to order) are dispatched within 1-3 working days on receipt of payment.
Items made to order dispatch times vary and are agreed at time of order.
Postage varies on items due to size and weight, larger, more expensive items are sent tracked and insured.
Standard shipping times once dispatched UK 3-5 days, Europe 7-10 days, Everywhere else 10- 30 days.
I use Royal mail mainly and Hermmes for heavy items, overseas will be royal mail and parcel force however the service provider changes and varies once it's left the UK. I stick to these services as I have found their standards are higher than other cheaper alternatives. All items are packed well to arrive safely in one piece, so this is reflected in the price.
Please note: Orders will be sent to the address shown on the invoice. Please insure your address is correct and current on your order. Misdirected mail, as a result of customer error, will be redirected upon return, with payment of new shipping charges. Packages delivered to erroneous addresses, as a result of miss-entered information, are not the responsibility of the seller.

Items held or delayed by customs or international postal services are not the responsibility of the seller.
Items go missing in transit rarely and Royal mail do not consider anything lost until 30 days have passed for UK . Therefore refunds on lost items will only be given after 32 days for Domestic and International items after 45 days.

Our vintage china is free from cracks, chips and crazing unless stated, although the gilding may show signs of rubbing wear. As they are vintage you may find factory flaws or other signs of use. I always try to show any flaws and use the best quality at all times. My up-cycled items are unique and made by me, I use bird feeders in my garden throughout the year for many years and they have never broken not in even in sharp frosts. But do be aware of where you hang them and I cannot be responsible if they do break while in your garden.

Care instructions

Teacup bird feeders and teapot bird houses, I have used mine outside for over 5 years now and I never bring them no matter of the weather. China will only usually break when temperature is changed quickly e.g. straight out of hot water into ice cold water. The same with glass as I did have a vintage glass bird bath that survived snow and ice but lost the battle with my football playing son so do please be aware where you place these items.
My bird feeder creations are drilled and secured with metal fittings and not just glued. This is reflected in the price but it's a small price to pay for the security of the item lasting many years as the weather will deteriorate the adhesive over time on cheaper non drilled bird feeders.
