Living my life through working with clay
The products that you are looking at are the work of Slovenian artist Vanja Bajt and her son Jurij Magušar Bajt.
Vanja started creating her ceramic products approximately 40 years ago and at that time she described her work with these words:
“My love for natural materials gave birth to the basic impulses in me that drive me to work with clay.”
Her products and her work are more than just that. They are an expression of her soul. She expresses herself through her artwork, imbuing each piece with something more, a touch of self that makes them unique.
Every period of her life was reflected in her products in images, shapes and colors. What you are looking at now is an expression of her still very lively playfulness, joy of life, and love for her work. The products were made not only by her hands, but also by her heart and her eyes, which perceive the world in colors and shapes.
Vanja’s work also inspired her son, who decided to join her on her artistic path. With his participation, the products received an additional fresh take.
