Note from shop owner I made the difficult decision recently to stop selling hand dyed yarn. I maybe back with some other stuff in the future, but the shop is on hold for now.

About QuirkyPaintbrush

On Etsy since 2016

I’m Glenda, artist, colour designer, owner of Quirky Paintbrush and I’m on a mission to make your world a more colourful place.

I make yarn in zingy colours for people who want to be original.

I use natural fibres for people who respect the environment, no nylon or acrylic here.

The name came about because I am an artist who loves to crochet, spin yarn and dye, and one day while reaching for a paintbrush, I picked up a crochet hook by mistake. In full flow, I used it to make some marks on my painting and the idea of the Quirky Paintbrush was born.

I run a small shop from my home by the sea in Southern Scotland called Fine View Arts and my husband, a blacksmith, opens the forge at weekends for people to watch him at work. We sell our eclectic mix of yarny stuff, arty stuff and blacksmithy stuff online at www.fineviewarts.com. If you are ever in the vicinity of Scotland's most southerly point, the Mull of Galloway, please call in and say hello.
