Announcement   Welcome to Raincrow Pottery’s Etsy store. I am very pleased to share my work with you and I hope you like it. I’ve been making hand-built pottery for over 30 years and find working in clay to be an endless exploration of textures, forms, colors, techniques, and ideas.

I make small and even smaller houses and boats, ornaments, pinched bowls, vases, wall pockets, and anything else that allows me to play. Each piece I make is entirely hand-built and unique, one of a kind.

If you find something you like, I’ll gratefully wrap it very carefully and ship it within 1-2 business days after cleared payment. If you have any questions about shipping, techniques, glazes, whatever, please contact me.

This is such a beautiful little piece. It has everything one would want for a home: warmth, happiness, and love. The earth tone colors are soothing and inviting; you can't help but wonder who may be living in there! The possibilities are endless as is the eternity ring of stars shining down forever casting a glow of cheer. Best of all, this creation is hand made and I am most appreciative of this. My order arrived in great time and in safe and secured packaging.

Hello! Welcome to RaincrowPottery’s Etsy store, and thanks for the opportunity to share my work with you. Working with clay is one of the true loves of my life.

Everything you see on my shop page is completely of my own creation. Each piece shown is the actual item that will be shipped to you and is the only one of its kind. I welcome questions and feedback, so please contact me if you have either.

Raincrow Pottery gets its name from the yellow-billed cuckoo (Coccyzus americanus), a beautiful reclusive bird native to the southern U.S. I’ve seen only 2 in my lifetime. My grandpa pointed out the first when I was just a kid, so the name is from him as well.

Payment
Payment may be made with PayPal or with a credit card through Etsy direct payment.

Nothing can be shipped until payment is received, so please make payment promptly.
Shipping
Orders are shipped within 3 days of receiving payment (usually same or next day).

All small packages weighing 13 oz. or less are shipped USPS First Class.
All others packages are sent USPS Priority Mail.

I pack items very well and have had great success when shipping with USPS, so I normally do not insure shipments. If you wish to have your shipment insured or require a different shipping method, please contact me and we'll make arrangements.

Each item is carefully wrapped in tissue paper or fresh-off-the-roll newsprint and then in bubble wrap or shipping foam. They are then double boxed. for added security. I use recycled shipping material whenever possible.

I am currently not shipping internationally but plan to begin soon, so please check back.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you have any questions about shipping, work techniques, glazes, whatever, please feel free to contact me.

I try to be sure the colors of each item are represented as accurately as possible in the posted photos. However, you may find them slightly different than expected due to my relative inexperience photographing my work, and the likelihood that colors may appear somewhat different on your monitor.

Inquiries concerning wholesale or consignment are welcome.
