What started as wanting to learn how to weave willow has become a small hobby, making recycled magazines and newspapers into really useful items and products.
I originally wanted to learn how to do willow weaving, and so began experimenting using paper from my recycling bin. Over time I have used magazines, newspapers, books, maps and sheet music in various ways, and try to sort the resulting weaving straws into colours so I end up with bins of largely one colour as best I can. I've also tried VHS tape, plastics bags and cat food sachets (!), with less successful results.

5 out of 5 starsLovely bin! This is my second bin from Recycled Weaver and they are brilliant - very sturdy, look chic and not at all obtrusive in a room. I just love that they are made from recycled materials and plastic free! I had friendly communication with the seller, the delivery was fast and the bin was packaged very securely - I appreciated the use of re-used packaging too, but what could make it even better would be paper parcel tape, rather than plastic parcel tape.
