Hola, soy Sue, ¡la creadora de RedFoxRustics! Mi taller se encuentra en el corazón del hermoso New Forest, en la costa sur de Inglaterra. Rodeada de naturaleza, siempre me ha encantado trabajar con las manos y encontrar la belleza en materiales que otros podrían pasar por alto. Lo que empezó como un simple pasatiempo de reutilizar madera vieja pronto se convirtió en una pasión por crear piezas atemporales y sostenibles llenas de carácter e historia.
Cada artículo que creo está hecho a mano con cariño a partir de madera recuperada o de origen sostenible. Gran parte de la madera que utilizo ha tenido vidas pasadas (como muebles, tarimas o vigas) y lleva las huellas de esa historia. A menudo encontrarás pequeñas abolladuras, nudos, agujeros y texturas únicas que prefiero conservar en lugar de ocultar.
Cada pieza se lija, se moldea y se acaba cuidadosamente para realzar la veta natural y la individualidad de la madera. No hay dos iguales; eso es lo que las hace especiales.
Me gusta describir mis creaciones como *perfectamente imperfectas*. Son rústicas, cálidas y llenas de carácter: un reflejo de su trayectoria y del cuidado que se pone en cada una. La sostenibilidad es fundamental en todo lo que hago, desde la búsqueda responsable de materiales hasta el diseño de piezas pensadas para atesorar durante años.

Hello, I’m Sue — the maker behind RedFoxRustics! My workshop sits in the heart of the beautiful New Forest on England’s south coast. Surrounded by nature, I’ve always loved working with my hands and finding beauty in materials that others might overlook. What began as a simple hobby of repurposing old wood soon grew into a passion for creating timeless, sustainable pieces full of character and story.
Every item I create is lovingly handcrafted from reclaimed or sustainably sourced timber. Much of the wood I use has lived previous lives — as furniture, floorboards, or beams — and carries the marks of that history. You’ll often find little dents, knots, holes, and unique textures that I choose to preserve rather than hide.
Each piece is carefully sanded, shaped, and finished to celebrate the wood’s natural grain and individuality. No two are ever the same — that’s what makes them special.
I like to call my creations *perfectly imperfect*. They’re rustic, warm, and full of character — a reflection of their journey and the care that goes into each one.
