Announcement    I hope you find something you like here. I create in an intuitive way and let the colours and textures dictate where they want to go! They often don't work the way you might think, but that's the joy of it. There's always something new to discover and I love that!

Creating through imagination and inspiration.

I only began my creative journey in my thirties with my silk painting business.
Here I am 37 years later starting my adventures in the unpredictable world of all things resin.
Sometimes it's a sticky mess - other times it works perfectly!
Memories of a childhood spent in Scottish rock pools has inspired me lately. The pools, what lives in them, and the huge variety of seaweed textures and colours. The shoreline, and the peace and comfort I've carried with me from those long summer days has decided to come to life in this way.
When I paint I am standing there on the beach, in that moment, and creating what I "see" around me. It's very hard to explain, but sometimes it just seems to paint itself!
I experiment all the time and you'll these little discoveries pop up here and there in future work. I still get that buzz of excitement and anticipation even after many years.
I do hope you enjoy my work and feel the energy, love, and peacefulness I've tried to make part of it.
I feel I should add that all my shells are bought from sustainable sources. Pebbles and sand are from the local builders merchants. Seaweed is lichen I found after a garden clearance. So nothing has been taken from a beach - even if I was lucky enough to get there!
I have also included some of my silk jewellery in my shop which is exclusive to me and my inventiveness! You won't see anyone else making it, so you can be assured of a one off piece every time.
