About RosemaryJacksPottery

Beautiful, fun pottery for everyday use.

As a child I was fascinated by potters throwing pots. To see the transformation from a lump of clay to a beautiful vessel was mesmerising and I was desperate to have a go. At school pottery was allowed only in the 6th form, and then only hand building, so although I was getting my hands dirty it didn't really hit the spot.
In 1994 I joined an evening class run by local Axminster potter Nicolas Hillyard and from that point I was totally hooked.
A rusty kick wheel arrived on the back of one of my drivers lorries (I was working in the haulage industry) and this took up position in our downstairs toilet! A small kiln and a new shed followed and my skills gradually improved.
In 2008 I set up my pottery business and I now have a wonderful studio in the old village bakery ,in Musbury.
I sell in galleries and at shows throughout the UK.
