I’ve loved nature and animals for as long as I can remember. My father—who worked as a photographer for part of my childhood—taught me to see the world differently, to notice the beauty in a moment and the story in a single frame. My parents filled my childhood with adventures, exploring wild landscapes and historic places, always with a camera in hand to capture the memories we made along the way.
I met my husband in college while studying Animal Science, and our shared love for animals and agriculture shaped our life together. We began our early years on a cattle ranch in Texas, and for the past 30+ years we’ve called rural Southwest Idaho home. We love the beautiful, big sky and open vistas of the high desert. We’ve raised eight children here and now cherish our time with our 13 grandchildren.
My favorite moments to photograph are often the simplest—my grandchildren’s laughter, the happiness shining in a dog’s eyes, the curiosity of a new calf, the changing colors of the fields, and the breathtaking landscapes that frame our days. I believe beauty is everywhere if we take the time to see it, and my hope is to capture that beauty—especially in the quiet, unexpected places where it often hides.
