Handmade Jewellery Made with Love and Care in England

Please follow me on Facebook - http://bit.ly/2686uPq

I've been making jewellery in my studio in Cheshire, England, for around 20 years; its my dream job as it mostly doesn't feel like work. Each piece of my handmade jewellery is made by me by hand. My 'assistants ' are my 3 cats who come up to the studio and lie around in various places giving their silent feline support punctuated by the occasional snore.

I love using unusual 'ingredients' in my creations and like many artists, am a bit of a hoarder' that is to say I will sometimes hang on to something for 20 or more years before it occurs to me to use it, that's part of the joy of creating, forgetting that something is there and then coming across it and realising that it's perfect for the piece I am currently working on; its almost as wonderful as going shopping for it the first time. Most of what I make is one of a kind or one of a very short run and that's because, as someone who makes everything I have for sale, I like to have a varied work day!

Favourite materials would include Murano/Venetian glass; I have a deep connection with Venice as I have been trading with Murano for around 20 years. Over that time I have come to know many of the artisans and have a deep appreciation for the history of the glassmakers art. I try to visit Murano at least a couple of times a year to keep in touch with the people there and to be tempted in purchasing from them.
Besides Murano glass, I also work with sterling silver, 14kt goldfill and/or copper, Swarovski Crystal Elements, vintage beads, freshwater pearls and artist-made lampwork glass, and most especially the components or beads made by fellow artists. Sometimes I have phases of being attracted to specific materials for a short period of time, I like to play with techniques and tools and colours. I also stock a variety of vintage items I just couldn't resist.

Each and every piece of handmade jewellery is made with love and care, each piece is meticulously checked for quality because I want you to enjoy wearing it as much as I enjoyed making it.

I also sell on Etsy as DestashPlanet - https://www.etsy.com/uk/people/destashplanet

I hope you will be delighted with your purchase which will be made with love and care. In over 22 years of trading through my own website (and more recently via Etsy), I have had very few problems and I try hard to keep my customers happy.

I hope you will be delighted with your purchase which will be made with love and care.

RETURNS DETAILS:

FAULTY/DAMAGED ITEMS
If you wish to return your purchase, please contact me to discuss upon your receipt of the item, via the ETSY email system. Please let me know the nature of the difficulty when you receive your package, and send me clear photographs of the problem.
It is very important that you retain the packaging in case it is needed so we can decide how any damage occurred.

Once agreed, you should send the item in its original packaging, unworn, and in the same condition it was in when you received it, with any gifts with purchase, packaging (including the organza bag and the Murano certificate).

I advise you use a tracking and/or a signed for service when returning items in case the item goes astray in the mail. The buyer is responsible for return postage costs.
Return the item by packing carefully.

RESTOCKING FEE:
If you return an item then I will deduct the cost of the outgoing postage from your refund on the basis you've actually received that service, as well as £4 (or 10%, whichever is the lower figure) restocking fee which will be subtracted from your refund.

Unless faulty, if you return an item, you are responsible for paying for the return postage.

In the event a returned item arrives damaged - whether by the customer or by the post office, I will inform you, send photos, and you will either need to claim the cost of the item from the post office or I will simply return the original item back to you.
Items must be returned in original, saleable condition as stated previously.

ITEMS NEEDING REPAIR
It happens. Sometimes you snag something or an accident occurs. If your item of jewellery which I made for you needs some TLC, please get in touch and I will help you with it. Please, for your own peace of mind, always send your item back to me with some sort of insurance attached to the postal service you choose to use.

If the problem is caused by faulty workmanship, I will of course fix and mail back at my cost; if it is a breakage or damage by the owner, the cost of the repair and postage both ways will be at your cost.

PIERCED EARRINGS
Pierced earrings are not refundable/returnable for hygiene reasons - if your earrings however are faulty in some way, then contact me and we can work through the issue.

POSTAGE COSTS
If you return an item, you are responsible for paying your own postage and your refund will be less any postage fees I have paid out (at my discretion).

CUSTOMS FEES
If your returned item is from overseas, you should clearly mark the returned package as a "RETURNED ITEM" on the customs declaration with a zero value. Not doing this will cause either further customs fees at my end, or may necessitate my refusing delivery of the package.

The buyer is responsible for return postage costs and any customs fees incurred.

WHEN DO I RECEIVE A REFUND WHEN RETURNING AN ITEM?
I will refund when the item has been delivered back to me.
Payment
I can take payment through the Etsy Direct Checkout Service or Paypal.

Please observe the time needed to create your special something when you purchase it - sometimes I have to specially order components to make an item. If you are in a tearing hurry, let me know and I will do my best to work with you.

Want something in a different colour,/size/length? Please contact me via ETSY, I may be able to assist.

Please note - there are no refunds or returns on custom/special orders once they have been created (unless faulty, of course).

WE SPEAK FRENCH
Oui,nous parlons Francais. (Yes, we speak French - actually my husband does but it you want to parlez with us, please feel free!)

PRESENTATION
All my packages go out carefully and attractively wrapped in a box on organza bag and tissue (because I like to imagine you opening it at the other end).

PACKAGING
All purchases are carefully sent out to you with the rigours of travel in mind, this means I may use a second bubble envelope, bubble wrap, cushion wrap, tissue paper, bubble envelopes or boxes - or whatever else I can think of - to mail out your item(s).

CARE OF YOUR PURCHASE:
Care of Your Murano Glass Jewellery:
Use a soft, clean cloth to remove any dirt or debris from your necklace, store in the tissue and organza storage pouch sent with the jewellery and to preserve the bright colours do not leave or hang in direct sunlight.

Do not use jewellery dips as these might strip surfaces and coatings from the components in your handmade jewellery. Handle with care, remembering your jewellery is made from glass, and never swim, wash your hair, use hot tubs or saunas whilst wearing your jewellery.

Avoid spraying perfume, skin products or hairspray directly on your jewellery, and be as gentle as possible with any jewellery you are wearing; treating it with respect means you will get a longer life out of your purchase.

Care of Sterling Silver:
Sterling silver will naturally oxidise over the course of time, giving it a grey or blackish tinge. To remove this and to return your sterling silver to its bright shiny original condition, use a Silver Jewellery Cleaning Cloth.

VINTAGE ITEMS
Vintage items will show some signs of wear and tear by previous owners. I try hard to describe items accurately - if you have any questions about an item, please contact me.
