Artista de joyería autorrepresentante desde 2010
Self-Representing Jewelry Artist since 2010
Bienvenido a mi tienda.
For most of my life I have created artwork and crafts of one kind or another. I settled on jewelry design and creating at the end of the 1970s when I started working for a gold- and silversmith who taught me the basics of repair. As time went by, I learned to carve waxes and cast using the lost wax method. As I made items, I took them to occasional craft fairs and renaissance fairs, trade shows, festivals, and other weekend venues. I loved the interaction with the people, but grew weary of the not-so-glamorous parts -- packing, unpacking, setting up, traveling, staying in hotels but never seeing the cities I visited -- all while working a 9-to-5 job.
However, around 2009 the contract I was working ended and so did my "real" job. Jewelry making became a way to make extra money, not just a hobby, and then I heard the buzz about Etsy. Slowly, but surely, my business has grown to be just that little extra that makes life a little less unsure.
I miss face-to-face interaction, but in this digital, virtual world I have "met" some of the most creative, generous, funny, and wonderful people in my life.
Welcome to my shop.
