I worked professionally in the performing arts before I became a painter full time. For 18 years I toured with the show 'Stomp' and I was lucky enough to be one of the founder members and performers of the show. We toured the world and gained enormous experience and friendships.
I returned to my homeland of Cornwall to be closer with my family and now that I'm older, I began to really look at the place I was born. There is an ancient wonder here around the coast. The geology of every bit of coast path can't be expressed unless you're there soaking up the sounds or sight of the enormity of the sea hitting the cliffs and rocks. The land of the legend of King Arthur, Mermaids, Giants and so many folklore stories. Not forgetting the more recent fiction of 'Poldark' that might help some of you understand where Cornwall lies within the UK. All of these things brought me to paint.
My Cornish Land and Seascapes, are my expression of what I see, experience and feel about my homeland. Those that live here or holiday here, recognise the colours I use from their own experience of the place. I hope you enjoy my paintings and products. they are made with enjoyment and a strong connection to this place.
