Hello and welcome to my store!

I'm Sarah, the artist, illustrator and calligrapher behind Sarah Jane living in the beautiful city of Bath, UK. I am passionate about art, creativity and design. I love nothing more than creating beautiful artwork and hope that through my work I can spread a little bit of joy and bring a smile to someone's face.

Drawing, painting and calligraphy are my way of expressing what most captures my attention and sparks my imagination. I work predominately with watercolour and ink. I am most often inspired by wildlife, focusing mostly on botanical subjects. I am also drawn to old buildings and historic streetscenes - my interest in architecture reflects my professional and academic training in urban design. I am a passionate calligrapher - I adore beautiful handwriting, typography and lettering. Nothing says I love you like a hand written note and I am passionate about keeping the art of writing by hand alive.

I love colour and ike to combine colour with white space, reflecting my a lifelong love of Japanese artwork. White space provides breathing space and makes the subject of my artwork ‘pop’.
