❤️ I love the area I live in and I want to share that love by creating unique & quirky art of our great Northern landmarks, especially from the North East.
As I got married in Scotland many moons ago and wrote my Uni thesis about Scottish Whisky I will show my admiration for this beautiful part of the British Isle be adding Scotland related items to my shop in 2021 too.
My art is suitable to be used as wall art | wall hangings| wall décor for your lovely homes.

5 out of 5 starsI love this! I have been looking for sea glass marbles that were drilled all the way through for ages so I could put one on an adjustable choker. This piece is stunning! The seller was lovely and let me know when she would be shipping the piece right away. I’ll definitely be coming back to her store!

Hello I am Anke
My shop desayn.art is showcasing my love for the North East of England.
I handcraft wall art & décor from copper and corten steel (the actual steel used for the original Angel).
I love designing & creating gifts and homewares for your stylish homes.
The Angel of the North is the iconic sculpture of this great area and I was lucky to view it the day after its erection in 1998, the year I moved to the area. The Angel was my first object to use for my art.
I also create pieces with the Tyne Bridge and my plan is to incorporate more & more local landmarks and locations of my adopted home area in the near future.
My journey into art started through learning silver & metal smithing at a Gateshead community center. I had been interested in learning smithing since I was a teenager.
