What do I do if my item arrives damaged?

If your package arrives damaged, the first thing I need you to do, is take a picture of the damaged packaging and the damage to your product. When you contact me about the damage, attatch these photos so I can file a claim with the Post Office.

Do NOT discard either the packaging or the item unless I instruct you to do so, as I may need it to be sent back to me or taken into your local post office for inspection. Should you discard or not send me photos, you will not be eligible for a replacement item or refund.

The date Etsy says my order should ship is on a Sunday, when will my order ship?

If your ship by date falls on a Sunday or United States holiday, your item will ship the next business day that the Post Office is open.

Do you photograph my order?

We reserve the right to photograph our own completed work. The physical and/or digital photos taken by our company belong soley to Amy's Red Threads AKA Red Thread Creations. These photos become part of our portfolio of work done by us for past clients, and may be used for advertising. We retain the right to reproduce any items we design or create for our customers. By purchasing from our company, clients agree to this and the other terms and conditons of our business.

I made a purchase from you at regular price, but it's now on sale. Can I get a refund for the price difference

I'm sorry, but no. Sale prices are only good during the sale.

My tracking shows you shipped my item a week ago and I don't have it. What can I do?

While I ship my items out within my processing time, the post office does not always ship things quickly. The post office delivery dates are only estimates and they don't garentee any of their services. They do not consider a package lost until at least 2 weeks of no updates to the tracking. My best advice is to make sure to order items from any on line source with plenty of time to make sure the postal service can get it to you before it is needed.

I need my item in just a few days, so if I upgrade to priority shipping and pay your rush fee, will it arrive on time?

While I can garentee the day I ship your item, I have no control over the post office. All delivery estimates are just that, estimates and the post office does not garentee any of their delivery methods. The priority express is the closest to garenteed, however that is not even a definate delivery date. If express does not get delivered in the 1-2 day time frame, they just refund the shipping charge. Delivery can be held up by so many issues including weather, natural disasters, and time of the year

You shipped my package to the wrong address, how can we fix it?

At checkout, buyers will see the address that Etsy will send to the seller. It is the Buyer's responsibility to check their address each time they make a purchase. Once items are shipped I can not stop delivery and change the address. At that point, you will need to either re-purchase a new item or wait to see if your package gets returned to me. If the original package comes back I can then re-ship it to your correct address (customer would pay shipping again) or, if it is not a custom order, a refund (minus shipping) can be made to you if you chose to re-purchase your item. If your item originally had free shipping - it is only free once. If your package needs to be reshipped, you will be required to pay shipping.

I need to cancel my order, what happens now?

I have a 2 hour cancellation window after you place your order. After 2 hours I may order fabric or begin cutting fabric for orders.
If an exception is made to my refund/cancellation policy, a restocking fee of 30% may apply if materials have been ordered or purchased. If your order has already been mailed, cancellations are not possible. Forced returns (sending something back without my prior approval) are not allowed by Etsy, therefore, you must contact me before you send something back. If a return is authorized, you may have a 30% restocking fee.

My package is marked delivered, but I don't have it, what do I do?

The first thing you should do is check with all the members of your household to see if someone else brought it in and put it up for safe keeping. If no one in your house knows where it is, please check with your neighbors and around your property (sometimes postal workers are creative in trying to find a safe place to leave your package). If it is still not found, please contact me for a description of your package so you can ask your mail person if they remember where they put it. I can check with the Post Office to get the GPS coordinates to be sure it was left at your house. If it was left at your house, please file a stolen mail report with the police, tampering with or stealing mail is a federal crime.
