SidequestInt

In short: Sidequest Studio is a private tool used only by the owner of the Etsy shop SidequestInt to publish pins of the shop's own products to the owner's own Pinterest boards. It does not collect, sell or share personal data about other Pinterest users.

Who runs this app
Sidequest Studio is run by the owner of the Etsy shop SidequestInt (etsy.com/shop/SidequestInt). It runs on the owner's own computer. It is not offered to the public and no one else can sign in to it.

What the app does on Pinterest
With the owner's permission, given through Pinterest's own sign-in screen, the app:

reads the owner's Pinterest username and the list of the owner's boards;
creates boards on the owner's account when a pin needs a new one;
creates pins on the owner's boards: an image of a product from the SidequestInt shop, a title, a description, alt text and a link to that product on Etsy.
The app asks only for these permissions: user_accounts:read, boards:read, boards:write, pins:read, pins:write.

What data is kept, and where
Sign-in tokens that Pinterest issues to the app are stored in a local settings file on the owner's computer. They are never stored online, never shown in the app, and only ever sent back to Pinterest.
Pin records: the id and link of each pin the app created, kept locally so the owner can see what was posted.
Nothing else. The app does not read, collect or store information about other Pinterest users, their pins, followers, messages or activity.

Sharing
No Pinterest data is sold, rented or shared with anyone. It is not used for advertising, profiling or to train AI models. Pin texts and images are prepared from the shop's own product information before anything is sent to Pinterest; no data received from Pinterest is passed to any other service.

How long data is kept
Sign-in tokens are kept until they expire or until the owner disconnects Pinterest in the app, which deletes them from the settings file. Pin records are kept for the shop's own history and can be deleted by the owner at any time.

Removing access
Access can be removed at any time with the app's Disconnect button, or from the Pinterest account settings, where connected apps can be revoked. Once access is removed the app cannot read or post anything on Pinterest.

Security
The app runs only on the owner's computer and answers only local requests. Its connection to Pinterest uses HTTPS. The app secret and tokens are kept out of logs and error messages.

Changes and contact
