Silkspike Dolls

I am an American living in Essex, England. I am married to a Brit and between the two of us, we have three sons and two lovely grandchildren. I have loved Barbie dolls my whole life, and have a small (and very precious) collection of vintage Barbies and clothes. I began collecting 16" fashion dolls and it re-sparked my childhood interest in sewing for dolls. I am mostly self-taught and have never had any formal training in sewing. I have been sewing ever since my mother taught me how to hold a needle, and I still sew on her 1959 Singer Slant-o-Matic 401. I lost my job of 12 years in 2013 - like so many people have in this world-wide recession. I decided to take my passion for dolls, sewing and photography and begin my second childhood. :o) I have been developing a range of patterns for the last two years for 16" fashion dolls such as Antoinette, Tyler, Ellowyne and JamieShow. I am now ready to begin selling them. My shop will grow as I add new patterns every month. Hopefully my customer base will grow as well. HAPPY SEWING! :o)

I have been sewing since I could hold a needle. I absolutely love sewing for 16" fashion dolls, although I still occasionally sew for Barbie dolls. Learn more at
