Hi my names David and I'm 60+ husband, father and step father of 6 grown up kids , a proud grandfather of 6 grand kid's and the heart and soul of Simply Bathroom Furniture.

Back in 2015 whilst working in a Bathroom Showroom I would repeatedly get asked if we did unique bathroom units or timber table tops and the answer was always no!
Eventually the seed was planted and, after several weeks of deliberating, I decided to set up a work space in a friends shed with the dream of creating a piece of furniture that was both unique, hand made and offered something different to the usual MDF.

Using the basic tools that I'd collected and the several lengths of reclaimed timber that i’d over spent on, I set about creating my very first basin wash stand and from there Simply Bathroom Furniture was born.

Fast forward 3 months and 9 happy customers later I took the plunge and rented my own work space whilst opening my first Etsy shop. This gave me the confidence to put a couple of my pieces in the store where I still worked!

14 months after building my first washstand I decided it was time to leave behind the world of mass produced chip board and make Simply Bathrooms my full time job.

Thankfully people seemed to like what i did and before too long i’d outgrown my little workshop so I upped sticks and moved to a much bigger one, positioned on the banks of the Bridgewater canal, and eventually my team grew from me to 3!

Fast forward 5 years and many happy customers later and I'm still fulfilling my dream of creating furniture that's both unique, hand made and offers something different to the usual MDF whilst still only ever using 100% sustainably sourced timber. I can honestly say I love what I do and, even after all this time, I'm still putting all of my knowledge, passion and attention to detail into every piece just like I did on my first wash stand back in 2015...only now I'm using better tools!
